HVAC products and assemblies.\nSupport manufacturing readiness activities including process definition, work instructions, tooling, fixtures, material presentation, and production launch activities.\nDevelop and maintain manufacturing documentation, routings, standard work, process flow diagrams, and production standards.\nOptimize production layouts, workstation design, and material flow to improve efficiency and reduce waste.\nSupport line balancing and capacity analysis to maximize productivity and throughput.\nContinuous Improvement\nLead and participate in Lean Manufacturing initiatives focused on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.\nImplement continuous improvement projects that reduce manufacturing costs, improve quality, or enhance operator safety.\nApply Lean tools including Standard Work, Visual Management, 5S, SMED, Kaizen, and Poka-Yoke.\nIdentify and eliminate process bottlenecks and non-value-added activities.\nOperational Performance\nMonitor and analyze manufacturing KPIs including FPY, scrap, labor efficiency, downtime, changeover performance, and operational supplies.\nSupport corrective actions to improve business unit performance and achieve operational targets.\nPerform time studies and establish labor standards to support productivity initiatives.\nQuality & Problem Solving\nLead root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions for manufacturing issues.\nSupport quality improvement initiatives using structured problem-solving methodologies.\nCollaborate with Quality Engineering to reduce defects and improve process capability.\nEnsure compliance with manufacturing standards and customer requirements.\nEquipment & Technology\nSupport selection, implementation, validation, and optimization of manufacturing equipment and tooling.\nParticipate in capital expenditure projects by providing technical evaluations and return-on-investment recommendations.\nEnsure equipment capability supports quality, capacity, safety, and operational objectives.\nSafety & Ergonomics\nPartner with EHS and Operations teams to identify safety risks and process-related hazards.\nParticipate in Job Safety Analysis (JSA) activities and implement ergonomic improvements.\nSupport compliance with safety regulations and company standards.\nTraining & Technical Support\nProvide technical support to production personnel and supervisors.\nDevelop and deliver training related to manufacturing processes, work instructions, and critical operations.\nSupport operator qualification and process certification activities.\nQualifications Education\nBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related technical field.\nExperience\n3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering within HVAC, Liquid Cooling, metal fabrication, sheet metal, assembly, welding, brazing, painting, fastening, electronics, or related manufacturing environments.\nExperience supporting production operations and continuous improvement initiatives.\nTechnical Skills\nKnowledge of HVAC manufacturing processes and assembly operations preferred.\nExperience with ERP/MRP systems.\nWorking knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and tools.\nExperience with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, CATIA, or Creo.\nBlueprint interpretation and GD&T knowledge preferred.\nFamiliarity with PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, and Core Quality Tools.\nKnowledge of Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.\nCompetencies\nProblem-solving and analytical thinking.\nProject management and organizational skills.\nStrong communication and cross-functional collaboration.\nContinuous improvement mindset.\nResults-oriented with focus on safety, quality, delivery, and cost.\nThe successful candidate will embrace Vertiv’s Core Principals & Behaviors to help execute our Strategic Priorities.\nOUR CORE PRINCIPALS: Safety.
