This role leads continuous improvement initiatives, supports new product introductions, drives capital equipment projects, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and reliable manufacturing operations.\nThe position serves as a technical expert for manufacturing processes, equipment utilization, process standardization, automation, and operational excellence initiatives.\nKey Responsibilities Manufacturing Process Development\nDesign, develop, and implement manufacturing processes and production methods.\nEstablish and maintain standard work instructions, process documentation, and manufacturing specifications.\nOptimize production layouts, material flow, and workstation ergonomics.\nSupport continuous improvement activities utilizing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.\nConduct time studies and labor utilization analysis to improve operational efficiency.\nContinuous Improvement\nLead Kaizen events and process improvement initiatives.\nIdentify and eliminate manufacturing bottlenecks and non-value-added activities.\nImplement SMED, 5S, Visual Factory, and workplace organization improvements.\nMonitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and recommend corrective actions.\nDrive productivity, quality, and cost reduction projects.\nEquipment & Automation\nEvaluate, select, and implement manufacturing equipment and automation solutions.\nManage equipment installation, validation, and commissioning activities.\nDevelop preventive maintenance strategies in coordination with Maintenance teams.\nSupport troubleshooting and root cause analysis of equipment-related issues.\nEnsure equipment operates within established safety and performance standards.\nNew Product Introduction (NPI)\nSupport product transfers, new product launches, and engineering changes.\nDevelop process flows, PFMEAs, control plans, and manufacturing documentation.\nCoordinate production trials, pilot runs, and process validations.\nEnsure manufacturing readiness before product release.\nCapital Projects (CAPEX)\nDevelop business cases and justification packages for capital investments.\nManage equipment relocation, facility expansion, and manufacturing improvement projects.\nCoordinate vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders throughout project execution.\nTrack project timelines, budgets, and deliverables.\nQuality & Compliance\nSupport quality investigations and corrective action implementation.\nLead root cause analysis using structured problem-solving methodologies.\nEnsure compliance with customer, regulatory, and company requirements.\nParticipate in internal and external audits as required.\nMaintain process capability and manufacturing standards.\nCross-Functional Collaboration\nWork closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Planning, Supply Chain, Safety, and Product Engineering teams.\nProvide technical guidance and training to production personnel.\nSupport strategic planning and capacity analysis activities.\nParticipate in SIOP and production planning initiatives.\nRequired Qualifications Education\nBachelor's Degree in:Manufacturing Engineering\nIndustrial Engineering\nMechanical Engineering\nMechatronics Engineering\nOr related technical field\n\nExperience\n5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering within a high-volume manufacturing environment.\nExperience leading process improvement projects.\nExperience supporting production operations and equipment implementation.\nExperience with capital equipment projects and manufacturing layouts.\nTechnical Skills\nLean Manufacturing principles.\nSix Sigma methodologies.\nProcess Flow Development.\nRoot Cause Analysis (5 Why, Fishbone, DMAIC).\nPFMEA, Control Plans, and Process Validation.\nIndustrial Engineering concepts and time studies.\nManufacturing KPI analysis.\nCAD software and manufacturing systems.\nMicrosoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Project).\nCompetencies\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nProject management and organizational skills.\nEffective communication and presentation abilities.\nLeadership and team collaboration.\nContinuous improvement mindset.\nResults-oriented and data-driven decision-making.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to work in a manufacturing environment.\nFrequent walking throughout production areas.\nAbility to periodically lift up to 25 lbs (11 kg).\nOccasional travel to suppliers, customers, or other company facilities as required.\nThe successful candidate will embrace Vertiv’s Core Principals & Behaviors to help execute our Strategic Priorities.\nOUR CORE PRINCIPALS: Safety.
