The engineer will support New Product Development and Introduction (NPDI) activities, working closely with international engineering teams, manufacturing plants, suppliers, and cross-functional stakeholders.\nThe role requires strong mechanical design capabilities, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver innovative and cost-effective solutions from concept through production release\nWhat kind of work will you be doing?\nDesign and develop mechanical components and assemblies for Thermal Management products.\nCreate and maintain 3D CAD models, manufacturing drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and engineering documentation.\nSupport global NPDI programs from concept through product launch.\nCollaborate with Manufacturing, Sourcing, Quality, Product Management, and Validation teams.\nPerform engineering calculations, tolerance analysis, and design evaluations.\nSupport prototype development, testing, and design verification activities.\nDrive cost reduction, manufacturability, serviceability, and quality improvement initiatives.\nManage engineering releases, product structures, revisions, and documentation through PLM systems.\nParticipate in technical reviews, root-cause investigations, and continuous improvement projects.\nSupport supplier development and product industrialization activities.\nWhat will make you successful?\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.\n4-8 years of experience in mechanical product design and development.\nProficiency with 3D CAD software, preferably PTC Creo.\nExperience using PLM systems and engineering change-management processes.\nStrong knowledge of sheet metal design, piping systems, welded structures, and mechanical assemblies.\nAbility to create and interpret engineering drawings in accordance with applicable standards.\nUnderstanding of manufacturing processes and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles.\nKnowledge of BOM structures and product configuration management.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nFluent written and spoken English; Italian language proficiency is preferred for effective collaboration with local functions and suppliers.\nExperience in Chiller, CRAH, Drycooler, HVAC, refrigeration, or other data center thermal management products.\nBasic understanding of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and refrigeration systems.\nExperience working in a global or multinational engineering organization.\nExperience supporting NPDI programs.\nIf YOU are the person we are looking for, feel free to apply and let's start drafting your future career in a healthy and growing environment!\nThe successful candidate will embrace Vertiv’s Core Principals & Behaviors to help execute our Strategic Priorities.\nOUR CORE PRINCIPALS: Safety.
