Will oversee multiple projects providing coordination between field personnel, customers, and service center . Will be responsible for ensuring the goals and objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame.\nRESPONSIBILITIES \nReviews project proposal or plan to determine time frame, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project. \nConfers with Service Center Manager or Region Director to outline work plan and assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority. \nReviews status reports and other documentation prepared by project personnel, clients and other contractors and modifies schedules or plans as required. \nConfers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems. \nCoordinates project activities with clients and other contractors (as required). \nDirect supervisory responsibility for Field Engineers and Project Managers during that are assigned to projects. \nMentors junior personnel and teach good project management practices. \nDirect Shop Technician’s daily activities.\nWork with Manager and field engineers to develop weekly invoicing and monthly status reports.\nTrain technicians to perform basic testing procedures.\nServe as lead on Service Safety contact monitoring safety equipment certifications, performing safety audits, project high risks assessments, and leading monthly safety meetings.\nCompetencies\nTo perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:\nCustomer Focus - Is dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customer; Gets first-hand customer information and uses it for improvements in products and services; Acts with customers in mind; Establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers and gains their trust and respect. \nDecision Quality - Makes good decisions based upon a mixture of analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment; most of his/her solutions and suggestions turn out to be correct and accurate when judged over time; sought out by others for advice and solutions. \nIntegrity and Trust - Is widely trusted; is seen as a direct, truthful individual, can present the unvarnished truth in an appropriate and helpful manner; keeps confidences; doesn't blame others for his/her own mistakes or misrepresent him/herself for personal gain. \nListening - Practices attentive and active listening; has the patience to hear people out; can accurately restate the opinions of others even when he/she disagrees. \nProblem Solving - Uses rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions; probes all fruitful sources for answers; can see hidden problems; is excellent at honest analysis; looks beyond the obvious and doesn't stop at first answers. \nStanding Alone - Will stand up and be counted; doesn't shirk from personal responsibility; can be counted on when times are tough; looks forward to taking charge of a problem or issue; is comfortable working alone on a tough assignment. \nREQUIREMENTS\nStrong knowledge of the National Electric Code and various industry standards such as OSHA and NFPA. \nProficient with MS Word, Project, Excel, Power Point, Latista, Google Docs and other project management software and applications. \nWilling to work flexible hours, weekends, if required. \nRequires work in a service center or field environment, including extensive computer and telephone use. \nRequires excellent verbal and writing skills to communicate effectively with clients and their representatives, contractors, field engineers, peers and management. \nRequires mature judgment, responsible for assigned projects and supervises, organizes and directs the work of others. \nRequires high degree of communication, supervisory and organization skills. \nWilling to work flexible hours, weekends, holidays and night work. \nRegularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, talk and hear. Frequently required to sit, and work at computer. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, basic color differentiation and the ability to adjust focus.
