In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for applying powder or wet paint coatings to metal parts and assemblies in accordance with job specifications and quality standards. You’ll contribute to the production of high-quality, finished components that support our customers across the globe.\nKey Responsibilities\nPainting & Finishing: Apply paint or powder coat to metal parts using spray guns or other application methods in a paint booth or production line setting.\nSurface Prep: Clean, mask, and prepare surfaces for painting by removing rust, oil, or debris using solvents, sanders, or hand tools.\nQuality Inspection: Visually inspect painted parts for proper coverage, color match, thickness, and finish consistency. Touch up or rework as necessary.\nEquipment Operation: Operate and maintain spray guns, paint booths, curing ovens, and related painting equipment according to safety and quality protocols.\nRecordkeeping: Maintain production logs, track part numbers, and record quantities or material usage as directed.\nTeam Collaboration: Work closely with loaders/unloaders and supervisors to coordinate part flow and meet production goals.\nHousekeeping & Safety: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with environmental and safety regulations.\nWhat You Bring\nPrevious experience in industrial painting or powder coating preferred.\nFamiliarity with spray painting techniques and equipment.\nAbility to follow standard operating procedures and quality control standards.\nStrong attention to detail and visual inspection skills.\nAbility to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.\nWillingness to learn and follow all safety practices and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.\nWorking Conditions\nThis position requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in a production environment where protective equipment is required.\nExposure to paint fumes, solvents, and heat from curing ovens; proper ventilation and PPE are provided.\nFlexibility to work shifts, overtime, or weekends as needed to meet production demands.\nWhy Join Vertiv?\nCompetitive pay and comprehensive benefits\nOpportunities for advancement and skill development\nA safe, supportive, and inclusive work environment\nBe part of a company that powers the technologies that connect the world\nVertiv is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
