The candidate should possess broad and deep knowledge in various technologies such as networking, communications, kernel drivers, and security.\nResponsibilities:\nRequirements analysis: Requirements gathering, use case analysis, device and application prototyping, customer/customer-liaison engagement.\nProject management: Project planning, task estimation, software metrics collection, version control\nFull lifecycle software application development: Design, programming, debugging, peer review, unit testing, performance tuning, integration\nDocumentation: Program commentary, user guides for service and troubleshooting\nProduct testing: Unit testing, bench testing, system integration testing, and field test support\nLeadership: Effective team member and/or lead engineer, consistent positive attitude, creativity\nHardware development support: Software support for hardware development and testing\nOther tasks and activities as required by management.\nRequirements:\nBachelor’s Degree or foreign equivalent with strong emphasis on software: Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering\n5+ years of experience in a firmware development role\n3+ years of experience using the C/C++ programming language.\nExpertise with software programming languages, frameworks, and subsystems including but not limited to:C++, C, JavaScript, Python\nDevice drivers, networking, serial communications, real-time operating systems (RTOS), bare metal\n\nInfrastructure and application development experience using technologies and architectures such as:IP networking: TCP, UDP, TLS, DNS\nSerial communications: RS232/485, CAN, USB\nProtocols: ModBus, BACnet, SNMP, CANOpen, Redfish\nPlatforms: ARM, x86, SoC\n\nFamiliarity with software development environments and tools:Integrated platforms like CodeWarrior, Visual Studio\nSource code version control: Git\nCMake\nGNU Compiler and GDB\nIAR/Keil Compilers\nDebugging with ARM JTAG/SWD\n\nAdditional, highly sought but not required.Embedded systems experience with control applications.\nPLC programming experience\nHVAC experience\nCI/CD pipeline
