Job Description: -\nThe Production lead will manage the activities of the metals department to ensure safety for plant personnel, achieve quality products are made, productivity numbers, and cost targets are met to ensure that on time production is maintained in accordance with established company standards and practices.\nResponsibilities: -\nPlan and achieve safety, quality, customer delivery and cost targets.\nImplement and maintain visual KPI reporting to drive high performance teams.\nEvaluate personnel requirements based on business and employee needs.\nRecommend equipment, tooling, and processes to support business objectives.\nEvaluate training requirements and request necessary training.\nConduct departmental meetings and ensure applicable tier meetings are conducted regularly.\nReport any equipment that is not in safe operating condition and remove it from use.\nMaintain a good standard of housekeeping.\nTrain and instruct employees in the performance of their work, assigned jobs, and familiarize employees concerning company and departmental policies and procedures.\nEstablish skill development plans for direct reports to foster an environment of career improvement and talent development.\nPlanning and scheduling production activities and supervising the production process.\nEnsuring the effective management of production lines of an organization.\nEnsuring quality systems are in place and utilized to guarantee the integrity of products.\nEnsure accurate costing for responsible work centers and seek improvement opportunities.\nEvaluate fabrication capacity model and ensure a properly level loaded plan that aligns with demand.\nDevelop programming practices that align with plant inventory and material utilization goals.\nWorking out the material and human resources as needed.\nWorking with managers effectively to execute the policies and goals of the organization.\nLiaising with different departments such as suppliers, managers and so on to prevent any probable delay.\nQualifications: -\nBachelor’s degree in manufacturing technology, Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent preferred.\n10+ years’ management experience.\nGood communication skills, both oral and written\nMS Office and ERP systems experience\nFormal training and/or 2 years experience with equipment programming software\nAbility to develop and coach a diverse team\nKnowledge of ISO and Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma\n10 years’ experience in production management, scheduling and metal fabrication processes preferred\nProficient in use of measuring instruments, i.e. calipers, protractors, etc.\nCNC Operating Experience preferred\nPhysical & Environmental Demands: -\nCapable of lifting up to 50 pounds.\nLight manufacturing: -\nTime Travel Required: -\nLess than
