Our portfolio spans power, thermal and infrastructure management products, software and solutions, and is complemented by a network of nearly 250 service centers worldwide.\nThe Purchasing Manager is part of the Materials Management team, reporting solid line to the Materials and Manufacturing Planning Manager.\nThe Purchasing Manager oversees our day-to-day purchasing operations. You will be responsible for managing a team of buyers across our 3 sites (Letterkenny, Burnfoot, Campsie), coordinating purchasing activities, resolving exceptions, and ensuring timely procurement of goods and services while focusing on Inventory optimization.\nWhat kind of work will you be doing?\nLead and manage the tactical purchasing team to ensure efficient and effective execution of purchasing activities.\nDevelop and implement tactical purchasing strategies to optimize procurement processes and achieve cost savings.\nCoordinate the creation and management of purchase orders within the Oracle ERP/Cyberplan system, including monitoring PO status and resolving exceptions.\nAnalyze inventory turnover rates, carrying costs, and stock-out rates to identify opportunities for inventory optimization.\nImplement inventory management strategies such as ABC analysis, cycle counting, and safety stock management to optimize inventory levels.\nEvaluate alternative sourcing options and supplier lead times to optimize inventory replenishment processes.\nCollaborate with internal stakeholders, such as production, inventory management, and finance, to ensure alignment of purchasing activities with business objectives.\nAnalyze purchasing data and performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and areas of risk.\nMonitor market trends, supplier performance, and regulatory requirements to inform procurement decisions and mitigate risks.\nDevelop and maintain purchasing policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with organizational standards and industry regulations.\nProvide leadership, guidance, and coaching to the purchasing team to foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.\nSupport talent management process (selection, development, and career path).\nPrepare and present reports, dashboards, and analysis to senior management to communicate purchasing performance and recommendations for improvement.\nEnsure communication of vision and strategy for his area of responsibility above and below within the organization.\nWhat Would Be the Perfect Qualifications?\nBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field;
