The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining welding quality requirements, supporting audits, managing quality documentation, and driving continuous improvement across production processes.\nKey Responsibilities\nEnsure compliance with ISO 3834-2 requirements and applicable welding standards.\nReview and maintain welding quality documentation, procedures, and records.\nSupport qualification and surveillance of welding processes, WPSs, WPQRs, and welder certifications.\nPerform and coordinate inspections of welded assemblies and piping systems.\nParticipate in internal, customer, and supplier quality audits.\nMonitor manufacturing activities to ensure adherence to quality requirements and specifications.\nAnalyze non-conformities and coordinate corrective and preventive actions.\nCollaborate closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Project teams.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives related to welding and fabrication quality.\nAssist in the preparation and review of quality plans, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and quality reports.\nQualifications & Experience Required\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a related technical discipline.\nExperience in a quality engineering role within manufacturing, fabrication, welding, or piping environments.\nStrong knowledge of ISO 3834-2 and welding quality requirements.\nUnderstanding of welding processes, weld inspections, and non-destructive testing (NDT).\nAbility to read and interpret technical drawings, manufacturing documentation, and specifications.\nGood problem-solving and analytical skills.\nEffective communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office.\nNice to Have\nKnowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001, EN ISO 5817, EN 13480, ASME B31.3, or similar.\nWelding Engineer/Inspector certification.\nExperience with supplier quality management.\nFamiliarity with quality tools such as:8D\nFMEA\nSPC\nRoot Cause Analysis\nSix Sigma\n\nThe successful candidate will embrace Vertiv's Core Principals & Behaviors to help execute our Strategic Priorities.\nOUR CORE PRINCIPALS: Safety. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
