This role contributes to the Americas Services Training team and technical services curriculum by creating, curating, and delivering learning assets in multiple formats. Additionally, the role involves building learning and certification paths that align with other learning programs. The designer will partner with Vertiv’s Technical Training managers and Service teams to create relevant and impactful training that maps to certification paths, driving adoption and business results.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nDesign, develop and deliver high-profile, high-impact Services training programs delivered in multiple modes - instructor-led and virtual workshops, train-the-trainer, self-paced online courses and videos, and technical solution lab exercises.\nCollaborate with program managers, instructors, and subject matter experts to create high-quality performance support materials, courses, content, and programs that align with the goals of the stakeholders.\nCreate, manage, and deliver engaging training across multiple mediums while accommodating multiple learning styles.\nIntegrate adult learning theory best practices into course development.\nSupport new product launches with the development of relevant training in time for field needs.\nModel exceptional customer service, teamwork, and professionalism in the development/maintenance process.\nInteract with the business and other team members in response to inquiries, concerns, and requests regarding distance education courses and issues.\nUnderstand and define target associate personas to design instruction that resonates with the audience.\nProduce courses on time and in alignment with the overall learning strategy.\nDesign and evaluate Kirkpatrick evaluations.\nEnsure that our vision and mission are reflected in all aspects of the learner experience.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor’s degree in Adult Learning, Instructional Design, or other related technical degree\nInstructional design and instructor certifications preferred.\n5+ years progressive professional experience developing and delivering high impact technical training programs focusing on data center technologies including power, thermal, monitoring, or related technical subjects.\n5+ years' proven project management skills including planning work, prioritizing and managing details, keeping multiple tasks/projects on track, using time well, and delivering results with tight deadlines.\nExcellent verbal, written, interpersonal communication abilities including collaborating with subject matter experts, global stakeholders, and managers to transfer knowledge.\nExperienced facilitator and coach with expert skills in virtual and online delivery methods, including media and video.\nExcellent oral and written communication skills, paired with sound business judgment.\nExperience using training development tools such as Articulate Rise, Opus, UPK, WalkMe, Adobe Storyboard, Venngage, Vyond\nExperience using Docebo or other industry leading Learning Management System\nDemonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous, deadline-oriented, global work environment.\nSound understanding of adult learning theory and models (ADDIE).\nPassion and interest in developing people.\nCan thrive in demanding, fast-paced, large-scale IT implementation projects.","description_format":"text","description_chars":3495,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":5,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"bachelor","optional":false},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Artificial Intelligence","Information Technology","Data Centers"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-23T14:01:57Z"}],"liveness":{"score":60,"band":"ok","label":"Likely open","p_open":1,"p_active":0.604,"p_room":1,"age_days":0,"expected_fill_days":3,"reasons":["conf:1","stale_co","velocity","win:early","comp:brand"],"computed_at":"2026-09-24T05:45:00Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/vertiv-sales-trainer","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/vertiv-sales-trainer.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-09-24T10:14:07Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers"}}
