As theP1 2nd Shift Rigging Production Supervisor - Shipping, Receiving & Loading, you will lead the daily operations of our shipping and receiving team, ensuring the safe, accurate, and efficient movement of materials and finished products throughout the facility. This role is responsible for supervising employees involved in loading, unloading, staging, inventory movement, and shipment preparation using overhead cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment. Partnering closely with Production, Planning, Logistics, Warehouse, and Quality teams, you will ensure customer shipments are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.\nResponsibilities\nSupervise the daily operations of the Shipping, Receiving, and Loading team to ensure safe, efficient, and timely movement of materials and finished products. \nCoordinate inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring materials are received, staged, loaded, and shipped according to production schedules and customer requirements. \nOversee the safe operation of overhead cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment used to move large components and finished products. \nVerify shipping documentation, packing lists, bills of lading, and shipment accuracy prior to customer delivery. \nCoordinate with Production, Planning, Materials, Warehouse, and Logistics teams to prioritize shipments and support production schedules. \nMonitor inventory movement and material flow to maintain inventory accuracy and minimize production delays. \nEnsure employees follow proper loading, unloading, lifting, and material handling procedures while maintaining compliance with OSHA and company safety standards. \nTrack and improve departmental KPIs including on-time shipments, inventory accuracy, loading efficiency, productivity, and safety performance. \nIdentify opportunities to improve warehouse organization, shipping processes, and material flow through Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives. \nTrain, coach, and develop employees while conducting performance evaluations, attendance management, and corrective action as needed. \nSupport hiring, onboarding, and ongoing employee development to build a high-performing team. \nPartner with Engineering, Quality, and Safety teams to resolve operational issues and implement process improvements. \nRequired Qualifications\nHigh School Diploma or GED required. \n3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing operations. \nExperience supervising material handling, shipping, receiving, or warehouse personnel. \nExperience operating or supervising the use of overhead cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment. \nExperience using ERP/MRP, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), or inventory management software. \nWorking knowledge of shipping documentation, inventory control, and material flow processes. \nStrong understanding of operational KPIs including safety, inventory accuracy, productivity, and on-time delivery. \nStrong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. \nPreferred Qualifications\nAssociate degree or technical certification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Manufacturing, or a related field. \nExperience in industrial manufacturing, modular construction, heavy equipment, structural steel, or distribution operations. \nLean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience. \nExperience coordinating freight carriers and outbound shipments. \nKnowledge of inventory control and warehouse best practices. \nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to walk throughout the manufacturing, warehouse, and shipping areas for extended periods. \nAbility to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. \nAbility to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. \nAbility to climb ladders, bend, squat, kneel, and safely navigate around large industrial equipment. \nAbility to work safely around overhead cranes, forklifts, trailers, and other moving equipment.\nNone\nTravel\nRequired at times.\nThe successful candidate will embrace Vertiv’s Core Principals & Behaviors to help execute our Strategic Priorities.\nOUR CORE PRINCIPALS: Safety.
