The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with excellent communication skills, experience working in the construction industry and be able to take the initiative to drive activities with limited supervision. The Site Manager provides leadership and serves as the liaison between project team members to promote the interest of both the business and clients in all matters, as well as demonstrate the characteristics of a mid-level leader. The Site Manager is the primary point of contact for Vertiv at site.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nMaintain adherence to Vertiv’s standards of safety; ensuring that required documents are filed.\nConduct and/or participate in project meetings, while driving to project milestones and contributing information for Vertiv Program Manager reporting.\nInterfacing with the Client, Client’s General Contractor, supporting trades, and consultants at all project stages.\nWork with the project team coordinating project scheduling; ensure project quality control and coordinate project logistics.\nWork with the Clients General Contractor and Vertiv with the delivery of projects and be responsible for the inspection and documentation of shipped integrated solutions to site. \nCollaborate with the Client’s site operations and Client’s General Contractor, supporting trades, and consultants throughout the life of the project.\nTrack, analyze, and report information appropriately to allow the Vertiv project team to manage their projects and evaluate weekly reports.\nPerform coordination of cross-functional departments to identify project issues, monitor action items, and work with the project manager to ensure resolution.\nEnsure receipt of all close-out documents until completion, including warranties, as-builts, Operation and Maintenance manuals and so on.\nWork with Client’s site operations and Client’s General Contractor, supporting trades, and consultants to ensure punch list, substantial completion and final completion process is completed through the onsite construction management team.\nWork and coordinate with the Vertiv equipment technicians and third-party equipment technicians to assist the Client and Clients General Contractor and Commissioning Consultant during the Level 2 and 3 Equipment startup, L4 Functional Testing and L5 Integrated Systems Testing of the Power Box modules.Carry oneself as a leader and knowledge holder of the project while facilitating the decision-making process.\nDemonstrate a positive attitude and passion for construction and datacenter industry.\nCommunicate clearly, concisely, and professionally, with a strong ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.\nTake initiative and seek responsibility.\nDemonstrate integrity consistent with Vertiv’s core values.\nSeek continuous improvement of knowledge and abilities, internal focus on self-improvement.\nRecognize quality and implement contractual and Vertiv quality standards.\nAdapt and exercise flexibility with the ever-changing world of technology, design, means and methods.\nCollaborate with people of various backgrounds and styles.\nFoster positive relationships with colleagues, clients, subcontractors, and vendors.\nApproach all situations with a customer service-oriented attitude.\nSustain existing client relationships and develop new client relationships.\nUnderstand and know what tasks are more important than others; discern what needs to be solved immediately and what can wait; ability to multi-task effectively.\nExhibit respectfulness by being punctual, engaged/focused, and respectful of others.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS\nPrevious experience in a project management, construction management role with the ability to execute multiple projects simultaneously.\nAbility to master sector/project-specific software systems including but not limited to: Microsoft Office suite (ex. Project, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.), ProCore, Adobe, BlueBeam\nMastery of reading construction drawings; tasks including reading, interpreting, and updating construction project-related drawings\nAbility to organize necessary resources, including people, tools, and time to meet tight deadlines and achieve desired results\nKnowledge of current market conditions including pricing conventions and trends\nMust demonstrate a strong ability to:\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor’s Degree in a related field (preferred).\nA minimum of 10 years of experience in construction project management, with a focus on data centers.\nStrong knowledge of MEP systems, including design principles, installation methods, and industry best practices. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nExperience collaborating with MEP subcontractors and vendors.\nFamiliarity with building codes, regulations, and standards relevant to data center construction.\nPMP certification or equivalent is a plus\nEDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS\nHigh school diploma required, four-year degree from an accredited university with a concentration in construction, engineering, or business is strongly preferred\nIn lieu of a degree, additional work experience is acceptable\n5+ years’ experience in commercial construction, including experience with a commercial general contractor.
