The Site Quality Engineer establishes and coordinates the site Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) process on construction sites. The Site Quality Engineer works closely with Site Management, Project Management, Engineering, Commissioning, subcontractors, suppliers and internal/external QC resources to ensure that quality requirements are understood, implemented and properly documented. The Site Quality Engineer monitors site quality performance, coordinates inspections, manages quality findings and non-conformities, and ensures that corrective actions are implemented and verified before project handover.\nResponsibilities and Measurement Criteria:\nDefine and implement the project Site Quality Plan in alignment with contractual requirements, customer requirements, Vertiv procedures and applicable standards.\nDevelop, review and maintain Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), inspection checklists and quality control requirements for site installation and assembly.\nEnsure that quality requirements, acceptance criteria, drawings, specifications and inspection requirements are clearly communicated to Site Management, subcontractors and QC personnel before work starts.\nCoordinate and support internal and external Site QC resources, including third-party inspection organizations, ensuring clear scope, responsibilities, inspection coverage and reporting requirements.\nEnsure required Hold Points, Witness Points and inspections are performed and properly documented before work progresses to the next stage.\nCoordinate inspections with Site Management, subcontractors, Engineering, customer representatives and QC inspectors as required.\nIdentify, document and manage quality observations, defects and non-conformities (NCRs) identified during site activities.\nEscalate significant, repeated or systemic quality issues to Project Management and the relevant Quality, Engineering, Operations or Supplier Quality functions.\nSupport Root Cause Analysis (RCA), corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and 8D investigations for major site quality issues.\nEnsure appropriate traceability and quality records are maintained for installed equipment, materials, inspections, tests, repairs and corrective actions.\nCoordinate the collection, review and completion of site quality documentation, including inspection records, checklists, test reports, certificates, NCR records, punch lists and subcontractor quality documentation.\nSupport preparation of the Quality Book / final quality documentation package required for project handover.\nMonitor open quality items and ensure critical quality issues are resolved before commissioning, energization or customer handover.\nProvide regular reporting on site quality status, open NCRs/findings, inspection progress, major risks and subcontractor performance to Project and Quality Management.\nCapture lessons learned from site execution and provide feedback to Engineering, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality and other relevant functions to prevent recurrence on future projects.\nSupport continuous improvement and standardization of site QA/QC processes, ITPs, checklists and inspection practices across projects.\nQualifications:\nRequired/ Minimum Qualifications:\nTechnical education in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or related Engineering discipline.\nUniversity degree in Engineering is preferred.\n3-5 or more years of experience in Quality, Construction, Installation, Manufacturing or similar technical/project environment.\nExperience with site QA/QC activities, inspections and quality documentation.\nUnderstanding of technical drawings, specifications, ITPs and inspection records.\nKnowledge of quality management principles and non-conformance management.\nGood understanding of Root Cause Analysis and corrective action methodologies.\nGood English communication skills, both written and verbal.\nComputer literate, including MS Office and project/document management systems.\nAbility to coordinate activities across multiple functions, subcontractors and external inspection organizations.\nAbility to prioritize activities in a fast-paced project environment.\nStrong problem-solving capability.\nHighly customer and quality focused.\nExcellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate quality records.\nAbility to work independently while maintaining close cooperation with Project and Site teams.\nAdditional / Preferred Qualifications:\nKnowledge of ISO 9001 and relevant construction, mechanical and/or electrical standards.\nExperience with projects.\nKnowledge of ITP development, NCR management, RCA/8D and CAPA processes.\nExperience with digital quality and construction management systems such as Procore or equivalent.\nInternal Auditor or Quality Management System training is an advantage.\nTime Travel Needed:\nRegular travel to project sites within the assigned region.\nTravel requirement dependent on project portfolio and project execution phases.\nWho are we?\nAt Vertiv, we’re on a mission to empower the people that will power the future.
