With $6.9 billion in sales, a strong customer base and global reach spanning nearly 70 countries, we are uniquely positioned to deliver greater value to our customers and create new opportunities for our people.\nWe are currently seeking a Software Engineer to join our dynamic team in Castel Guelfo (BO), Italy!\nThe Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing managing and maintaining the Software which is used to diagnose and monitor complex systems made out of several power electronic converters all linked through communication buses.\nDaily tasks include:\nDesign, implement and support Complex Software applications and the relative documentation.\nWork in an international FW team.\nCreate functional, architecture and design specifications.\nSW installation at customer site with prototype unit\nCustomer support and visit to manage relevant issues.\nRequirements:\nProficiency in C/C++;\nStrong object-oriented design software design, development capability;\nExperience with/Ability to QT, QT libraries;\nExperience with/Ability to frontend technologies e.g. Javascript, Jquery, CSS , HTML;\nBasic Knowledge of Security Aspects of the Embedded Software Product \nGood coding skills in scripting languages (Python/JSON/bash script);\nExcellent knowledge of Multithreaded Programming and Network Programming;\nProfessional experience in programming for Linux Embedded/Desktop including build, debug & scripting tools;\nPractical knowledge in general Computer Science: data structures and algorithms;\nGood understanding of the main operating systems concepts: processes, memory management, file systems;\nGNU Make / Makefile expert;\nBasic knowledge of virtualization techniques and tools (e.g., qemu/VM Ware/Virtual Box/Docker);\nFluent English;\n3+ years of experience. \nIf YOU are the person we are looking for, feel free to apply and let's start drafting your future career in a healthy and growing environment!\nThe successful candidate will embrace Vertiv’s Core Principals & Behaviors to help execute our Strategic Priorities.\nOUR CORE PRINCIPALS: Safety. Certain roles may be eligible for variable compensation and benefits.
