Summary/Objectives of Incumbent:\nThe purpose of this position is to provide local technical support and design influence for major projects and centre solutions whilst supporting the sales team in this area (with particular focus on Colo & IMS), achieve overall business sales targets and as appropriate, ensure selling prices; transactions and quotations adhere to company policy and to exploit all opportunities for market development.\nThe position requires - daily interaction with key functional areas of the business; direct support for the Sales and Product Management teams; technical and commercial management and engagement with the Data Centre community including but not limited to end users, consulting and contractor fraternity, facility managers, builders, relevant government agencies and data centre industry bodies.\nParticular Expertise and /or Experience required for this position:\nQualifications in Electrical Engineering or power design and applications. \nExperience with the design and applications of power units in data centres.\nKey Responsibilities\nAdhere to PSA procedures and practices.\nProvide sales staff with technical assistance & support information on Vertiv product to assist with the sales activity.\nReview documentation submitted by Sales.\nIf required, Bill of materials (BOM) itemising products and service included in offer.\nIf required, work with product management to source quotes from third party product and services in support of offers.\nCompletion of all work in a timely manner.\nDevelop and maintain relationships with consultants, contractors, end users.\nCustomer presentations to help guide product selection and drive technical discussions\nProvide local technical support for major projects and data centre solutions. \nProvide design input for major projects and data centre solutions. \nEnsure that all calls and demonstrations are pre-planned and that adequate back-up material is available to ensure a positive client response.\nAt all times ensure that dress and appearance is presentable, that Company policy is well understood, and that the Company’s business is carried out in an efficient and professional manner.\nTo act upon requests from the director of PSA relating to reporting of information and other matters.\nUndertake product training as required and directed by management.\nWHS, Environment & suppliers of products and services\nEducation/Qualification:\nRecognised technical qualifications in Electrical Engineering\nSpecialist Knowledge:\nMarket knowledge of products.\nTender processes and the application of products\nAn understanding of the Data Centre industry.\nSix sigma CFD analysis.\nGood technical understanding and knowledge of the product to be supported.\nExcellent competency in reading technical drawings and design specifications.\nKnowledge of the application of Australian and international standards framework and industry codes.\nPractical Experience:\nACAD drawing skills\nMarket knowledge of thermal & power products including application\nTender processes and the application of products to fit their requirements\nExcellent technical understanding and knowledge of thermal management products and concepts.\nExcellent competency in reading technical drawings and design specifications.\nProficient in technical writing.\nEnglish writing and presentation
