Work with these teams for design reviews, meeting cost metrics, and brainstorming around customer pain points.\nPerforms a variety of engineering calculations using traditional engineering methods to verify design requirements\nCreate, evaluate, select and review electrical box and electrical panel layouts, ensuring proper component placement, component selection and compliance with applicable codes and standards.\nSelecting and evaluating electrical components, instrumentation, and control devices. \nDesign/develop/create/review/revise 2D and 3D revision-controlled CAD for electro-mechanical assemblies, point-to-point wire harnesses, wire routings, wire and fuse sizing, connection drawings, customer-facing electrical diagrams (schematics) using a Product Data Management (PDM) tool.\nDevelop/create/review/revise bills of material (BOM) and product definitions in a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tool to support re-use of existing designs, manufacturing, quality, and service\nDevelop solutions to complex problems where little or no precedence exists - the use of ingenuity and creativity is regularly required\nImplement product changes to solve field issues, support service department\nTake the Lead of Engineering tasks for projects guiding other electrical engineers to meet project timelines.\nExtended Responsibilities:\nWork with software team to develop and verify CRAC system controls\nSupport lab facilities with engineering prototypes and testing\nSupport manufacturing during manufacturing prototypes, manufacturing pilot builds\nParticipate in Design For Manufacturability (DFM) and Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEAs)\nParticipate in identification of cost reduction opportunities and in the design and development of cost reduction changes\nBasic Requirements:\nBachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or related degree from an accredited college or university\n7+ years of career experience in new product development as an individual contributor\nAbility to work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment independently and as a member of a dynamic team\nAbility to mentor and guide less experienced team members\nDemonstrated history of delivering quality products to market with understanding and respect for phases of the product development process\nExcellent project management skills and communication skills, both written and verbal\nProficient in 2D & 3D CAD software, preferred CREO 4.0 and greater\nKnowledge of NEC (NFPA70), IEEE 519, UL 508A SB\nPreferred Requirements:\nKnowledge of UL60335-2-40 or equivalent CSA/UL standards and UL508A Electrical Panels\nVFD programming and troubleshooting experience\nExperience with communications and interconnects standards and protocols including RS485, CAN, and
