This position is responsible for the production and support of SiteScan, WebControl, and Ignition software monitoring solutions. This role acts as part of the main production group who deploy and manage all aspects of the software implementation. The role will also provide technical support for internal groups and end users.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nSoftware ImplementationWork directly with customers to provide software installations\nManage equipment lists and the gathering of equipment information for assigned projects\nWork with sales to scope and quote projects\nAssist with licensing and upgrades\nParticipate in development of departmental procedures/guidelines\n\nSoftware DevelopmentParticipate in template creation for Vertiv and third-party equipment such as Cooling, Power, Environmental and other equipment common to monitoring.\nParticipate in meetings for new devices to be monitored\nManage the template libraries\nAssist with testing and development for new software releases\nTrack and resolve any field issues related to development\n\nSoftware SupportCreate and maintain any technical support documentation related to the Environet products\nProvide Domestic and International Technical Assistance as an escalation contact\n\nContinuous ImprovementProvide feedback to product management group\nAttend re-occurring meetings \nAttend new product and self-development training classes\nStay familiar with new products/environments that may affect product operation to include new revisions, updates, upgrades, etc.\n\nOther duties or projects as assigned\nQUALIFICATIONS\nBS CS - preferredOr similar Computer Science/ degree, or equivalent training and experience in the following areas:Interacting with customers in a technical role\nWorking directly with hardware and/or software systems in data center or other high-availability environments\n\nMinimum four years equivalent industry experience in one or more of the following:BMS systems\nElectronic Monitoring systems\nProtocols and integration\nComputer based networks\nDatabase Administration\nSoftware support\n\nMinimum three years-experience interacting with customers in a support role required, technical support experience preferred\nExcellent technical knowledge of Vertiv Monitoring products and services or similar monitoring systems is required\nEffective troubleshooting skills and resolution documentation\nStrong knowledge of PCs and Operating Systems: Windows 10, Server 2016 and current systems\nProficient in all Microsoft Office products, especially MS Outlook, Excel and Sharepoint\nFirm understanding of Data Communications Processes, including:Network devicesLANs, WANS\nVPNs, RDP, WebEx and other remote access tools\n\nFirm understanding of key protocols: Modbus, RS232, RS422, RS485, ARCnet, BACnet, Modbus, LON,SNMP and other network protocols.\nExperience with schematics and wiring diagrams\nExcellent writing and verbal communication skills\nExcellent organizational and time management skills\nStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities\nPossess a positive attitude and flexibility in a rapidly changing environment\nAbility to manage multiple projects/issues
