This role supports a fast-paced aerospace machine shop and fabrication environment by leading safety training, conducting audits, managing compliance requirements, and driving continuous improvement through 6S and other lean initiatives. The position will be responsible for EH&S across two locations in Anaheim and Torrance.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nSafety & Training\nPlan, develop, and conduct monthly safety training for all employees.\nTrain employees and supervisors on how to perform safety audits and hazard assessments.\nMaintain training records and ensure required certifications are current.\nPromote a strong safety culture and employee engagement in EHS programs.\nAudits & Compliance\nConduct regular internal safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.\nSupport and participate in regulatory inspections and customer audits.\nEnsure compliance with Cal/OSHA, OSHA, and aerospace customer requirements.\nTrack corrective actions and follow through to closure.\nEnvironmental & Storm Water Compliance\nMaintain knowledge of storm water regulations and site-specific requirements.\nSupport compliance with the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP).\nManage and track all environmental tasks on the compliance calendar, including inspections, reporting, and documentation.\nCoordinate with outside consultants or agencies as needed.\nBecome familiar with Los Angeles and Orange County various regulatory requirements.\n6S / Continuous Improvement\nLead and support lean projects (6S, VFM, PPE, Guarding, Haz Waste Handling and Management), throughout the facilities.\nTrain employees on 6S principles and sustainment as above.\nPartner with operations and leadership to drive workplace organization, efficiency, and safety improvements.\nDocumentation & Reporting\nMaintain EHS policies, procedures, and records.\nPrepare reports, metrics, and presentations for management.\nTrack incidents, near misses, and corrective/preventive actions.\nMaintain records of hazardous waste disposal, electronic waste disposal, handling of chemicals, adhesives and other shop use volatiles.\nWork with Verus Site Insurance carriers on any required facility improvements they require or recommend. \nPosition Requirements\nMinimum 5 years of experience as an EHS or Safety professional in manufacturing;
