# Quality Engineer

Position Summary The Quality Engineer is responsible to perform the job duties listed within including the application of engineering theory and principles to problems in manufacturing and production. The employee may study and record the time, motion, method, and speed involved in performance of production operations for such purposes as establishing standard production rates, improving efficiency, and designing effective quality assurance operating procedures. The employee may be assigned to system level processes or specific customer related assignments. The skills of the Quality Engineer must be of the highest caliber and on a level consistent with those employees doing similar work employed at similar operations. Productivity, efficiency, and minimal waste are critical elements of daily operational work for this position. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confer with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards and associated documentation.
