Inspectors are responsible in-process, 1st part, and final dimensional inspection of parts and assemblies.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nKnow and follow general company and corporate policies and procedures.\nKnow, understand, and follow department policies and procedures.\nMeet personal goals and workplace expectations.\nInspect partially complete or completed-machined parts and assemblies to assure compliance with drawing requirements.\nInspect the work of outside processors and/or purchased parts to verify compliance with P.O., applicable specifications and drawing requirements. Verify the appropriate documentation is present.\nTypical requirements to be verified include dimensions, surface finish, hardness, serialization and lot tracking, part marking, appearance, etc.\nRecord inspection results as required both on written records and computer database.\nMaintain historical files and summary records as required. Notify appropriate parties of results.\nVisual inspection of complex machined parts, and verification of vendor certifications for completeness and accuracy.\nWriting of non-conformance rejection tags.\nWork effectively with others to build teamwork within the Quality function and the Company.\nOperate Coordinate Measuring machine and technical measuring equipment. \nCapture, and interpret maintain SPC and sampling data as required.\nPerform delegated customer inspection duties and required training as needed.\nReview First Article Inspection (FAI) documentation and results to verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, purchase orders, and applicable quality standards; identify discrepancies and coordinate corrective actions as needed.\nPosition Requirements\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
