Verve is looking for a Production Manager to join our Production team in Santa Cruz, CA.\nPosition Summary\nThe role of the operations department at Verve is order fulfillment which includes receipt and processing of a customer order through delivery. The Production Supervisor is the main driver of day-to-day performance within the Verve operations department. Specifically, the Production Supervisor is responsible for product packaging, order pick & pack, quality assurance and SQF compliance, and outbound distribution. The Production Supervisor leads a team towards the goal of on-time, accurate, and efficient execution of these four main responsibilities across a variety of revenue channels including Wholesale and Ecommerce and Grocery.\nKey Responsibilities\nEnsure daily order batch fulfillment across all sales and distribution channels (Wholesale, Ecommerce, and Grocery).\n\nPrioritize and fulfill Verve Cafe orders reliably, resolving any system or operational obstacles promptly.\n\nOversee key accounts, including Capital One and VIP clients, ensuring accurate and on-time processing.\n\nProvide leadership, coaching, and talent development to foster department team growth and retention.\n\nExecute daily production plans to satisfy volume requirements across Wholesale and Ecommerce channels.\n\nCoordinate with Customer Experience to assign accounts to optimal shipping methods (Verve Delivery, Customer Pick-up, UPS/FedEx, Carrier).\n\nCollaborate daily with the RTD Production Manager to supply required documentation for outgoing shipments.\n\nOversee printing, organization, and distribution of packing slips and shipping documentation for E-Commerce, B2B, and Grocery orders.\n\nCommunicate production schedules to Production Leads to guarantee timely packaging and staging, accounting for promotional labor needs.\n\nLead morning huddles and W4W shift alignments.\n\nMaintain and take ownership of production scheduling and performance-tracking documentation.\n\nMonitor daily production metrics using Doss, ShipStation, Wholesale Fulfillment Tracker, Grocery Weekly Tracker, and Cafe Ordering Tracker.\n\nTrack and verify all orders through final delivery confirmation using established tracking tools.\n\nReview daily Wholesale and Ecom production reports, prioritizing production according to volume and channel urgency.\n\nManage and clear the Open Sales Order report daily.\n\nProcess daily invoicing in Doss, including QC scanning, shipping label creation, and closing outgoing shipments.\n\nPrint, manage, and verify staging for standard NORs with Production Leads.\n\nCollaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to streamline operations.\n\nSupervise coffee and supply order processing for all Verve Retail locations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.\n\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe production area that reflects brand standards.\n\nOversee and actively support fulfillment sub-functions, including packaging, picking/packing, staging, QC, invoicing, and delivery.\n\nEnforce SOPs, safety, sanitation, and GMP/Food Safety guidelines across all shifts.\n\nManage workflow, task allocation, and team assignments to meet daily volume targets within defined lead times.\n\nOptimize delivery routes and schedules for operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.\n\nMonitor production machinery and fleet vehicles to ensure proper maintenance, cleanliness, calibration, and safety.\n\nDirect daily sanitation and facility organization routines.\n\nPropose actionable process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.\n\nDelegate responsibilities fairly to support team morale, establishing clear handover goals between AM and PM shifts.\n\nQualifications and Requirements\n4+ years of experience in production and logistics management\n\nStrong leadership and communication skills\n\nAbility to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment\n\nProficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite and production planning software\n\nA demonstrated ability to effectively lead a team, through positivity and approachability\n\nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written\n\nMust have or be willing to obtain forklift certification\n\nValid California Driver's License required.\n\nBilingual Spanish is a plus.\n\nCoffee production knowledge is a plus.\n\nPhysical Requirements\nThe following physical demands outline the requirements necessary for employees to effectively carry out the essential functions of this position.
