You will design and build WhatsApp bots using Node.js, integrate with Veryfi’s OCR & data extraction APIs, and act as the technical lead for campaigns-from kickoff to post-campaign reporting.\nYou’ll work directly with brands, agencies, and internal teams to ensure campaigns launch smoothly, scale reliably, and deliver measurable business results.\nKey Responsibilities\nWhatsApp Bot Development (Node.js)\nBot Architecture & Development: Design, build, and maintain WhatsApp bots using Node.js for loyalty programs, promotions, and automated customer journeys\n\nAPI Integrations: Integrate WhatsApp bots with Veryfi APIs (OCR, Lens, document processing), databases, CRM tools, and third-party services\n\nCampaign Logic: Implement business rules for points accumulation, rewards redemption, fraud prevention, validations, and user segmentation\n\nScalable Backend Services: Build reliable, scalable backend services using Node.js, REST APIs, webhooks, and event-driven flows\n\nCode Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices\n\nLoyalty Campaign Execution (End-to-End)\nCampaign Build-Out: Translate campaign mechanics into technical flows (receipt validation, product matching, points, rewards, rankings)\n\nGo-Live Ownership: Own technical readiness for launches, including testing, validations, and production deployment\n\nFraud & Edge Cases: Implement safeguards against fraud, duplicate submissions, and abuse scenarios\n\nPost-Launch Support: Monitor campaign performance, fix issues quickly, and iterate based on real user behavior\n\nReporting Support: Assist with technical reporting, data extraction, and campaign performance insights\n\nTechnical Account Management (LATAM)\nClient Technical Lead: Act as the main technical point of contact for LATAM clients during onboarding and active campaigns\n\nSolution Design: Advise customers on best technical approaches for their loyalty and promotional use cases\n\nIssue Resolution: Troubleshoot production issues, API errors, WhatsApp flow problems, and data discrepancies\n\nClear Communication: Explain technical concepts in simple terms to non-technical stakeholders\n\nEscalation Handling: Coordinate with internal engineering, product, and support teams when deeper intervention is needed\n\nCollaboration & Continuous Improvement\nCross-Functional Work: Collaborate with Product, Sales, Support, and Marketing teams to improve campaign delivery\n\nProcess Improvement: Identify patterns and suggest improvements to campaign templates, bot flows, and backend architecture\n\nDocumentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for bots, integrations, and campaign flows\n\nProduct Feedback: Share real-world client feedback with product and engineering teams\n\nRequirements\nExperience & Background\n3+ years of experience as a Node.js / Backend Developer\nExperience building chatbots, messaging platforms, or automation systems (WhatsApp preferred)\nStartup or fast-paced environment experience strongly preferred\nExperience working with LATAM customers or regional campaigns is a big plus\nTechnical Skills\nStrong proficiency in Node.js (ESM preferred)\nExperience with REST APIs, webhooks, async flows, and background jobs\nFamiliarity with WhatsApp Cloud API or similar messaging APIs\nExperience with databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar)\nUnderstanding of authentication, security, and API best practices\nExperience supporting production systems and live campaigns\nCore Competencies\nStrong problem-solving mindset and attention to detail\nExcellent written and verbal communication (Spanish required, English strongly preferred)\nCustomer-oriented mindset with the ability to balance engineering and client needs\nAbility to manage multiple campaigns and priorities simultaneously\nOwnership mentality -
