Experience in a classification society, shipyard design center, or ship design institute is preferred. Familiarity with classification calculation tools and finite element analysis software such as PATRAN, FEMAP, and FEGATE will be an advantage.\n\nGood verbal and written communication skills in English.\n\nSelf-motivated, responsible, and eager to learn new knowledge and technologies.\n\nIt Would Be Nice If You Had\nProfessional or chartered engineer license\nReporting Relationships:\nThe incumbent reports to a Manager, Staff Consultant, Principal Engineer, or project leader and collaborates with other appropriate organizational elements on assigned tasks. This position does not have direct reports.\nWorking Conditions\nWork will generally be performed in an air-conditioned office environment. Occasionally, the incumbent will be required to visit manufacturing plants, remote field sites, or go aboard marine vessels or structures. Work will be non-manual, but the incumbent must be able to walk and climb among equipment and structures.
