This role independently executes substantial portions of cybersecurity engagements and supports efforts involving RMF, A&A, cyber compliance, vulnerability management, secure configuration, and systems security engineering. The Lead Consultant works closely with project leadership and clients to deliver high-quality technical services and written deliverables across multiple cybersecurity opportunities.\nWhat You Will Do:\nExecute cybersecurity project tasks across multiple client opportunities to ensure deliverables are completed on schedule and within budget.Support project managers with planning, status reporting, issue tracking, and execution of assigned workstreams.\nReview project plans, schedules, and work authorizations to understand scope and assigned responsibilities.\nParticipate in client and internal project meetings and provide technical updates on assigned work.\nConduct research, technical analysis, and data gathering to support project objectives.\nPrepare written reports, technical documentation, briefings, and presentations.\nTrack and report hours spent executing projects.\nSupport quality assurance reviews of project deliverables.\n\nSupport engagements involving:RMF implementation and sustainment.\nA&A package development and maintenance.\nSecurity control assessment support.\nVulnerability scanning and remediation tracking.\nCompliance reviews and audit support.\nSystem hardening, patch management, and configuration review.\nTechnical report and presentation development.\n\nCapture and refine cybersecurity operational and security requirements and help ensure those requirements are addressed through implementation of appropriate controls.\nPrepare and maintain cybersecurity artifacts such as SSPs, SAR inputs, POA&Ms, policies, procedures, inventories, and risk documentation.\nReview system configurations and technical documentation for alignment with applicable requirements and standards.\nConduct analysis of vulnerability data, scan results, remediation status, and compliance findings.\nCoordinate with project managers and other technical staff to resolve issues, close action items, and manage deadlines.\nServe as a technical lead for defined workstreams and provide guidance to less senior team members as needed.\nContribute to proposal efforts, technical responses, and internal capability development.\nBuild effective working relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.\nWhile the position is remote, regular travel (50%+) to client sites and project locations is a core part of the role.\nWhat You Will Need:\nEducation and Experience\nMust have a bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, engineering, or equivalent STEM discipline; equivalent experience may be considered.\n3+ years of relevant professional experience in cybersecurity, RMF, system security engineering, information assurance, or related fields.\nMust have or be able to get and maintain an Active Security Clearance.\nProfessional certification preferred. (CASP+, CySA+, Securit+, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CGRC)\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nWorking experience with NIST Risk Management Framework, NIST SP 800-53, and DoD cybersecurity requirements.\nExperience with implementing security controls, documenting compliance, and supporting authorization activities.\nExperience with vulnerability assessment, scanning, configuration changes, software and hardware updates, and securing configurations.\nExperience with tools such as Nessus, ACAS, eMASS, and related cybersecurity platforms preferred.\nUnderstanding of network security principles, operating systems, and secure architecture concepts.\nAbility to identify issues, recommend corrective actions, and follow through to closure.\nStrong written and oral communication skills.\nStrong proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.\nAbility to handle multiple assignments and work effectively in a team-oriented client environment.\nExperience with PowerShell or Python preferred.\nNavy, NAVSEA, MSC, RMF, or broader federal/DoD experience preferred.\nAbility to obtain a working knowledge of the ABS Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Management System.\nSalary:\n$80 -95k\nCountry Requirements\nU.S. Citizenship required for roles supporting government contracts.\nReporting Relationship\nReports to a
