The role includes sizing and specifying relief valves and rupture discs, verifying compliance with applicable codes and standards, preparing technical documentation, and supporting process safety and design review activities.\nWhat You Will Do:\nPerforms engineering review and analysis assignments under minimal supervision of an experienced engineer or engineering manager Applies conventional knowledge in a particular field of engineering.\nReview project plans to understand the scope, schedule and assigned work.\nIdentifying and quantifying overpressure scenario relief rate requirements and evaluating relief systems capacities.\nVerifying the adequacy of relief/flare system design and installation.\nPrepare written documents, reports and presentations for review by an experienced engineer or engineering manager.\nDevelop understanding of the technical requirements and challenges and provide suggested opportunities of the business to formulate opportunities to enhance effectiveness and efficiency in day-to-day job tasks.\nParticipate in client and team meetings.\nTrack and accurately report hours spent on projects\nWork with individuals at all levels, provide input to reports and other deliverables, execute multiple assignments, meet agreed deadlines, and adjust to changing client demands.\nPerform quality assurance on project deliverables. \n\nWhat You Will Need:\nEducation and Experience\nBachelor's degree in chemical engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Mathematics or a related engineering/scientific discipline\n2-4 years of relevant professional experience working with pressure relief devices, pressure vessels, and process safety systems. This position requires a strong understanding of pressure relief calculations, relief valve sizing, overpressure scenarios, fluid dynamics, and applicable industry codes and standards.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nAbility to gain, retain and illustrate comprehension of learned technical knowledge\nAbility to actively listen to the needs of our clients by receiving shared information, determining context and evaluating the information provided\nOpenly accept change as part of business evolution to meet the needs of our clients and supports it\nPossess a firm understanding of key performance indicators and their significance to the business and takes action to drive results\nExperience in pressure relief analysis and flare system design and documentation, preferred.\nAbility to utilize established rapport with senior members of the team and colleagues\nEngages in personal development activities that focus on developing customer intimacy\nMust take responsibility for their actions and behaviors\nMust acknowledge and learn from mistakes\nMust understand assigned responsibilities and hold themself accountable for keeping commitments\nMust be dependable and consistent\nMust actively participate in daily activities\nAbility to produce an expected quantity and quality of work.\nMust organize, plan and manage time and tasks effectively utilizing intermediate time management skills\nAbility to obtain a working knowledge of the ABS Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental Management Systems.\nUS Citizenship required for roles supporting
