In this position, you will be tasked with assembling fabricated parts at designated floor stations. Utilize your skills in handling mechanical components and employ a variety of pneumatic hand tools and power tools to construct high-quality nacelle units efficiently.\nNight Shift: Monday - Thursday 5:00pm - 3:30am\n\nWhat does a Nacelle Assembly Technician do?\nEfficiently assemble components utilizing both hand and power tools.\n\nOperate manufacturing equipment with a focus on safety and efficiency.\n\nAdhere to Process Work Instructions and manual production processes, ensuring parts fit and are assembled correctly, including but not limited to bolts, screws, shafts, and bearings.\n\nAchieve production standards for various tasks within the allotted time frame.\n\nHandle materials by lifting, positioning, and/or removing them from the work area as needed.\n\nManage materials using a bridge crane for loading, stacking, and transportation purposes.\n\nInterpret schematics to accurately assemble machine components.\n\nCollaborate with fellow assemblers to construct the final product.\n\nTest and inspect components to ensure they meet our standards of uniformity and quality.\n\n If you have hands-on mechanical experience, take pride in quality workmanship, and can work effectively as part of a team to meet production goals, we encourage you to apply. \nWhat are we looking for in Assembly Technician II?\n 3+ years of experience in wind, energy, or heavy industrial manufacturing, supporting complex mechanical assemblies such as large structural, drivetrain, or electromechanical components. \n3+ years of advanced, hands-on experience using standard, pneumatic, and hydraulic tools, with proven ability to independently execute complex assemblies, maintain precise tool setup and accuracy, and safely diagnose and resolve mechanical issues.\n\nAbility to understand and apply mechanical and physical principles to solve problems involving machines, tools and physical systems\n\nAbility to train others, read and follow written instructions in English.\n\nHigh school diploma or GED or equivalent is required.\n\nBenefits Offered\nDental insurance\n\n401(k) matching\n\nEducational Reimbursement\n\nHealth insurance\n\nVision insurance\n\nLife insurance\n\nPaid time off\n\nPaid Holidays\n\nProfessional development and training\n\nPay: $25.50 - $28.00 per hour (depending on experience) + $3/hour differential for pay.\nOur commitment to a fair hiring.\n At Vestas, we evaluate all candidates solely based on their professional experience, education, and relevant skills.
