If you are motivated by solving complex data challenges, enabling better use of data, and contributing to the future of data at Vestas, we'd like to hear from you.\nResponsibilities\nWorking closely with business stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams, you'll help shape our data platform, improve engineering excellence, and support the growth of a collaborative, effective data community.\nDesign, build, and maintain scalable, reliable, and high-quality data products that support business and analytics needs\nCollaborate with business stakeholders and domain experts to translate core business concepts into robust, reusable data models\nOwn the technical design, architecture, and lifecycle of data products, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and maintainable\nPartner with the Area Architect to define architectural direction, evaluate technical trade-offs, and ensure alignment with engineering standards and principles\nPromote best practices across data modelling, testing, documentation, CI/CD, observability, and operational support to promote engineering excellence\nProvide technical support across teams by helping shape decisions, mentoring colleagues, and promoting a culture of collaboration, learning, and continuous improvement\n\nQualifications\nExperience in data engineering, data platform development, or related roles, with solid SQL skills and deep experience in building scalable data transformations\nFamiliar with Snowflake, dbt, or similar transformation frameworks, alongside modern data engineering workflows and best practices\nDemonstrated experience owning the architecture and technical direction of data products or platforms, including scalable data modelling approaches such as Data Vault, dimensional modelling, or similar patterns\nFamiliarity with Agile development methodologies, DevOps practices, Azure services, and cloud-based data engineering environments\nExperience transforming complex source systems into clean, governed data products\nCompetencies\nAbility to work through complex challenges, identify core causes, and make sound, practical decisions\nEffective communicator who can explain technical concepts and trade-offs clearly while building alignment across technical and business stakeholders\nCollaborative and open-minded professional who thrives in diverse, cross-functional environments\nCommitted professional with a continuous learning mindset, focused on self-improvement and helping the larger team thrive\nPragmatic in decision-making, balancing speed, quality, scalability, and maintainability to deliver business value\nCommitted to raising engineering standards through knowledge sharing, documentation, continuous improvement, and mentoring others\nWhat we offer\nWe offer an exciting position with great development opportunities in an inspiring environment at the world's number one wind turbine producer.
