The team supports effective risk management, regulatory compliance and the continuous improvement of Health, Safety and Environmental performance.\nBy partnering with employees, managers and stakeholders across the site, the department focuses on incident prevention, environmental stewardship and the development of a proactive and positive HSE culture where everyone contributes to a safe and sustainable working environment.\nResponsibilities\nSupport the implementation and continuous improvement of Health, Safety and Environmental processes across the Taranto manufacturing site\nCollaborate with Production, Maintenance and Engineering teams to identify, assess and mitigate workplace hazards and operational risks\nConduct safety inspections, workplace observations and risk assessments, supporting the implementation of preventive and corrective measures\nSupport incident, accident and near-miss investigations, including root cause analysis and follow-up of improvement actions\nMonitor the effectiveness and completion of corrective and preventive actions to enhance HSE performance\nContribute to the implementation and maintenance of LOTO processes, machinery safety programs and operational risk controls\nProvide HSE coaching, training and awareness activities to promote an engaged and positive safety culture\nSupport the maintenance and continuous improvement of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems\nQualifications\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Safety, Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental or Industrial Engineering)\n3-5 years of practical HSE experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment\nSolid knowledge of Italian HSE legislation, particularly D.Lgs. 81/08\nKnowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems\nKnowledge of environmental compliance requirements, including AUA, water and wastewater management, and waste management\nASPP/RSPP qualification\nFluency in Italian and English, written and spoken\nCompetencies\nAbility to identify workplace hazards, assess risks and define practical preventive measures\nPractical approach to shop-floor safety, including lockout/tagout, machinery safety, and operational risk control\nAbility to conduct incident and near-miss investigations using structured root cause analysis methods and translate findings into effective corrective actions\nEffective methodical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize HSE risks and ensure actions are completed effectively\nClear communication and coaching skills, with the ability to engage operators, supervisors and cross-functional teams\nAbility to collaborate effectively with Production, Maintenance and Engineering while maintaining a self-directed HSE perspective\nKnowledge and practical experience in environmental compliance, including AUA (Autorizzazione Unica Ambientale) requirements, water and wastewater management, and waste management processes\nUnderstanding of waste classification, storage, handling and disposal practices, combined with a practical, pragmatic and continuous improvement-oriented mindset\nWhat We Offer\nAt Vestas, you will join an international and collaborative environment where safety, sustainability and continuous improvement are at the core of everything we do.
