Translate business objectives into clear direction, preventive and predictive maintenance execution, workforce development, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nWhat does a Maintenance Supervisor do?\nChampion a safety-first culture by enforcing company safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices.\n\nLead, coach, and develop maintenance team members to achieve operational and professional growth objectives.\n\nEnsure adequate workforce planning, staffing, and resource allocation to meet maintenance and production requirements.\n\nDevelop, implement, and continuously improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs that maximize equipment reliability.\n\nDrive execution of scheduled maintenance activities and coordinate corrective maintenance efforts to minimize downtime.\n\nMonitor equipment performance and reliability metrics, including MTBF, MTTR, and uptime, and implement action plans for improvement.\n\nPartner with Production, Engineering, Quality, and other support functions to achieve operational, quality, and delivery targets.\n\nEnsure compliance with all quality, regulatory, environmental, and company standards.\n\nProvide employees with the tools, training, technical guidance, and support necessary for success.\n\nEstablish clear performance expectations and conduct coaching sessions, performance evaluations, and development planning.\n\nManage maintenance expenditures and support cost reduction initiatives through waste elimination and Lean Manufacturing principles.\n\nInterpret technical drawings, specifications, work orders, and procedures, ensuring proper execution by maintenance personnel.\n\nDevelop and maintain productive relationships with vendors, contractors, and service providers to support maintenance objectives.\n\nFacilitate structured problem-solving activities and root cause investigations to eliminate recurring equipment failures.\n\nDrive employee engagement and accountability through effective communication, recognition, and team development.\n\nPerform other duties as assigned.\n\nEssential Functions:\nOwn maintenance performance for the assigned area, ensuring achievement of equipment reliability, uptime, maintenance compliance, and quality objectives.\n\nCoordinate maintenance activities across shifts to maintain continuity and ensure effective issue resolution.\n\nMake timely operational decisions regarding maintenance priorities, resource allocation, and escalation of critical issues.\n\nLead safety compliance initiatives, including HSE requirements, permit processes, incident reporting, and corrective actions.\n\nConduct routine audits and verify adherence to standard work, maintenance procedures, and operational standards.\n\nBuild and maintain a highly skilled maintenance workforce through training, development, mentoring, and succession planning.\n\nEnsure all team members possess the qualifications and certifications required to safely perform assigned work.\n\nSupport equipment startups, shutdowns, changeovers, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities.\n\nLead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies.\n\nFacilitate structured problem-solving processes utilizing tools such as 5 Why, Kepner-Tregoe (KT), and Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA).\n\nParticipate in cross-functional operational meetings and drive execution of assigned actions.\n\nEnsure CMMS, ERP, MES, and maintenance records are accurate, complete, and maintained in accordance with company standards.\n\nAnalyze maintenance and operational data to identify trends, prioritize opportunities, and improve asset performance.\n\nCollaborate effectively with cross-functional, site, and global teams to support business objectives.\n\nDemonstrate integrity, accountability, professionalism, and a commitment to continuous improvement.\n\nTranslate strategic goals into actionable plans and drive execution through completion.\n\nUtilize Microsoft Office, CMMS, ERP, and reporting tools to support decision-making and operational performance.\n\nWhat you will bring:\nAssociate degree in a technical discipline, or a certificate/diploma from an accredited trade school in a related field required.\n\nBachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field preferred.\n\nMinimum of two (2) years of leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment.\n\nMinimum of five (5) years of maintenance experience in manufacturing, chemical processing, refinery, renewable energy, or similar industrial environment.\n\nDemonstrated hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.\n\nExperience maintaining industrial processing or automated manufacturing equipment.\n\nStrong understanding of reliability-centered maintenance, preventive maintenance, and predictive maintenance methodologies.\n\nProven ability to lead teams in a dynamic environment while maintaining flexibility and adaptability.\n\nExcellent interpersonal, communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills.\n\nStrong work ethic, accountability, and commitment to delivering high-quality results.\n\nProficiency with Microsoft Office, CMMS, ERP/MRP systems, and maintenance reporting tools.\n\nWorking knowledge of manufacturing, chemical processing, refinery, or heavy industrial maintenance practices.\n\nPhysical Demands\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to have the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) weight up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. Ability to climb stairs and ladders required. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand, and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp. Requires visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate office equipment and read computer screen generated information. The employee frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear. The employee is required to regularly work 12 hour shifts.
