Translates quality requirements into clear direction, standard work execution, and continuous improvement within the assigned area.\nResponsibilities:\nEnsure consistent execution of quality inspections, NC creation/closure, and product release activities.\nPrioritize workload and coordinate shift coverage to meet quality and delivery requirements.\nLead shopfloor-level quality issue resolution using Daily Management, 5-Why, containment, and timely escalation for complex issues.\nCoach, train, and assess Quality Technician competence levels.\nReinforce quality standards, QMS discipline, and quality-first behaviors on the shopfloor.\nMaintain a safe work environment by enforcing safety policies and safe behaviors.\nCommunicate effectively with the team and across the business.\nProvide team members with required tools, training, and resources.\nSet performance expectations and conduct coaching, 1:1s, and evaluations.\nMeet cost and quality targets by reducing waste and applying lean principles.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nEssential Functions:\nEnsure consistent execution of inspections, NC handling, and product release, including workload prioritization and shift coverage.\nLead first-level quality issue resolution (Daily Management, 5-Why, containment), escalate effectively, and follow up on corrective actions.\nCoach, train, and assess Quality Technician competence levels and support skill development.\nReinforce quality standards and behaviors, ensuring adherence to QMS, safety, and quality-first principles.\nCoordinate activities across shifts to maintain continuity and resolve quality issues.\nMake operational decisions to keep the area on plan, including resource allocation and escalation.\nLead safety compliance, enforce HSE rules, 5S, and permit requirements, and escalate incidents.\nEnsure standard work execution and conduct layered audits to verify compliance and coach group leads.\nDrive continuous improvement using VSM, kaizen, structured problem solving (5-Why, 8D), and verified CAPA closure.\nParticipate in PAST meetings and coordinate required actions with support departments.\nMaintain MES/ERP data integrity and ensure accurate quality and shopfloor reporting.\nAnalyze problems and make sound decisions using relevant information.\nCollaborate effectively with cross-functional and global teams.\nModel integrity, accountability, and a quality-first mindset.\nTranslate goals into actionable plans and follow through to completion.\nUse Microsoft Office and data systems to support daily operations.\nEducation, Training, and Skills Required:\nHigh school diploma or GED; 3+ years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nCollege degree in a related field preferred.\nAbility to work effectively leading teams with adaptability and flexibility.\nStrong work ethic, dependability, and commitment to quality.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office, ERP/MRP systems, and related software.\nWorking knowledge of Lean/5S principles and QMS requirements.\nAbility to understand and apply production work instructions.\nSkills in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem solving.ffective verbal and written communication and conflict-resolution skills.\nMinimal travel may be required.\nCompensation Range $78,000 - $98,000 Anually\nCCPA Notice for California Applicants\nOur commitment to a fair hiring\nAt Vestas, we evaluate all candidates solely based on their professional experience, education, and relevant skills.
