The team brings together a broad mix of skills in execution leadership, project coordination, project management, and data analytics, encouraging people to collaborate and meet customer needs.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nServe as the senior on-site leader responsible for coordinating project activities and personnel.\nEstablish the temporary project facility, warehouse, yard, and supporting site infrastructure.\nDevelop the warehouse and yard layout to support safe and efficient material, tooling, and equipment flow.\nIdentify and order required tooling, warehouse equipment, fixtures, and consumables.\nInterface with the landlord and address facility-related issues throughout the project.\nReview and update project parts lists and identify potential material requirements.\nRecommend project manpower levels and required skill sets to the Project Manager.\nDevelop the site organization, reporting structure, and field execution support model.\nCoordinate with the Resource Manager to address staffing gaps and arrange personnel backfills.\nLead on-site customer and vendor coordination.\nManage site personnel, including time approval, time-off requests, issue escalation, and disciplinary documentation.\nSupport and develop Lead Technicians, the Assistant Project Manager, Project Coordinator, Field Engineer, and other site leadership personnel.\nMaintain working knowledge of applicable customer and vendor contractual requirements.\nIdentify and document excusable events in accordance with the applicable customer and vendor contracts.\nMaintain and understanding of the current project budget and financials in order to assist with making project decisions and evaluations\nWork with the Project Manager, Project Coordinator, Supervisors, Leads, Assistant Project Manager, and off-site support staff to help complete the project.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nHigh school diploma or equivalent; technical, trade, construction-management, or business-related education.\nSignificant experience in wind turbine service, major component replacement, repower, construction, or comparable field operations.\nDemonstrated experience leading personnel, vendors, and contractors in an active project-site environment.\nWorking knowledge of wind turbine component replacement activities, tooling, materials, and site logistics.\nWorking knowledge of Lockout/Tagout, Job Safety Analysis, incident reporting, and field safety procedures.\nExperience establishing and managing temporary warehouses, yards, facilities, and project infrastructure.\nAbility to review parts lists, identify tooling requirements, and plan consumables and equipment needs.\nExperience in workforce planning, approving employee time, coordinating resources, and escalating personnel issues.\nAbility to interpret and apply customer and vendor contractual requirements during field execution.\nEffective leadership, communication, conflict-management, and crisis-management skills.\nAbility to coordinate effectively with customers, vendors, technicians, supervisors, project management, and remote support functions.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications, Procore, work-tracking systems, and project documentation tools.\nAbility to manage competing priorities and make timely field decisions in a changing project environment.\nWillingness and ability to remain on site for the duration of assigned repower projects.\n\nCOMPETENCIES\nExperience with MS Office Suite\nExperience with Outlook, Teams, SharePointExperience with Procore and document management principles\nDetail oriented to review documents for completeness\nDetail oriented to compile customer facing documentation packages for project work\nWorks effectively on their own\nCollaborates with other departments to deliver project deliverables\nCCPA Notice for California Applicants\nOur commitment to a fair hiring\nAt Vestas, we evaluate all candidates solely based on their professional experience, education, and relevant skills.
