Since 2010, the Nacelles Factory in Brighton has proudly manufactured nacelles (engines) and hubs for wind turbines within 265,000 square feet of production space.\nTraining Specialist\nGeneral Purpose:\nThe Training Specialist develops the training tactical plan. Interfaces directly with stakeholders for requirements which are converted into training programs supporting business requirements. Responsible for direct supervision of a Team that delivers, plans, schedules and develops employee training that results in effective employee performance related to training programs. Performs a variety of administrative activities including database management, drafting reports, and presentations to Leadership teams.\nResponsibilities:\nLead interface with management and key business stakeholders to determine training needs\n\nWork directly with Managers and P&C on high performance teams through progression development strategy\n\nDevelop training plans aligned to business objectives\n\nCollaborate with regional and global training teams to deliver corporate training initiatives\n\nManage training department staff to include employee performance\n\nOversee the design of training programs and schedules based on knowledge of identified training needs, production processes, business systems, or changes in products, procedures or processes\n\nOversee and report on the annual compliance training programs\n\nManage the research of new training technologies to incorporate innovation techniques into programs\n\nDevelop training effectiveness program to monitor training program success\n\nUtilize continuous improvement approach to evolve training programs for competitiveness\n\nCoordinate on the job training with the new employee’s supervisor/manager\n\nLead the research, selection and management of outside consultants and trainers to conduct training in specific topics\n\nMaintain training records for attendance in compliance with Company standards\n\nEvaluate training for evidence of the effectiveness of training per Company guidelines\n\nWork to keep training programs interactive and designed based upon adult learning theory in order to engage trainees\n\nMust be able to work different shifts to support training requirements as needed\n\nOther duties as assigned\n\nEssential Functions:\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and SAP)\n\nAbility to lead and deliver training material individually or in classroom settings\n\nAbility to Manage a Team\n\nAbility to communicate effectively in English both written and verbally to express oneself clearly\n\nAbility to effectively lead a cross-functional team\n\nAbility to establish targets and translate them into actionable plans with the department\n\nAbility to interact frequently with others in a professional, courteous manner\n\nEducation, Training, and Skills Required:\nBachelor’s degree in human resources, education, adult learning, organizational development or equivalent discipline\n\n5 years of previous training or training coordinating experience in curriculum design, development and delivery\n\n1-3 years Leading or Supervising a team\n\nKnowledge of techniques and philosophies of adult education\n\nHigh level of written English. Ability to create training programs, instructions and training manuals at the appropriate level. Ability to effectively present information in large classes, one-on-one and small group situations to other employees, supervisors and managers in the organization\n\nAdvanced skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio and Outlook)\n\nStrong ability to respectfully challenge colleagues and consultants across demographics\n\nCreativity in developing engaging and effective training materials\n\nExceptional presentation and communication skills are required\n\nAbility to handle multiple priorities and complete tasks/projects in accordance with stated deadlines\n\nData-driven to measure and achieve operational excellence\n\nAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form\n\nSalary - $90K - $110K\nPhysical Demands\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use of hands and fingers to handle and feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
