We dare say that, Vestates was ahead of its time in that regard.\n\nWe are recruiting to fill the position below:\n\nJob Title: Content Creator and Copy Writer \n\nLocation: Wuse 2, Abuja (FCT) \n\nEmployment Type: Full-time\n\nReports To: Corporate Communications & Marketing Manager\n\nJob Summary\n\n The Content Creator & Copywriter is responsible for developing and creating engaging, brand-aligned content for the assigned subsidiaries. The role covers content ideation, copywriting, short-form video creation, visual storytelling, and content production.\n\n The Content Creator is expected to understand the objectives of each assigned business and turn them into relevant, creative and commercially effective content.\n\nReporting & Accountabilities\n\nThe Content Creator reports directly to the Corporate Communications & Marketing Manager and is accountable for:\n\n Monthly content calendars and content planning.\n\n Content ideas, concepts, captions and copy.\n\n Video scripts and short-form content.\n\n Content production and timely delivery.\n\n Campaign and event content.\n\n Content quality and brand alignment.\n\n Creative trends and content opportunities.\n\n Providing relevant content updates and insights during weekly reviews and monthly reporting.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n Develop creative content ideas aligned with each subsidiary's marketing objectives.\n\n Write captions, social media copy, hooks, scripts and calls-to-action.\n\n Create Reels, short-form videos, photos and other social media content.\n\n Plan and execute content shoots using available equipment.\n\n Prepare and submit monthly content calendars by due dates.\n\n Deliver a minimum of 12 planned content pieces per month for each assigned subsidiary.\n\n Create content for campaigns, promotions, launches, events and other business activities.\n\n Monitor relevant social media trends and recommend suitable content opportunities.\n\n Work with the Social Media Manager, Graphic Designer and Photographer/Videographer to deliver approved content.\n\n Review content performance with the Social Media Manager and use insights to improve future content.\n\nKey Performance Indicators\n\n Timely submission and execution of content calendars.\n\n Quality and consistency of content produced.\n\n Minimum monthly content requirements achieved.\n\n Quality of copywriting and creative concepts.\n\n Content engagement and performance.\n\n Contribution to campaign objectives.\n\n Consistency with brand guidelines and approved marketing direction.\n\nMust Have\n\n Proven experience as a Content Creator, Social Media Content Creator or similar role.\n\n Strong copywriting and storytelling skills.\n\n Ability to create engaging short-form video content/Reels.\n\n Good understanding of social media platforms and trends.\n\n Ability to write captions, scripts, and compelling hooks.\n\n Basic video editing skills.\n\n Strong communication and organizational skills.\n\n Portfolio demonstrating previous content work.\n\nNice to Have:\n\n Experience working across multiple brands.\n\n Photography and more advanced video editing skills.\n\n Experience with Canva, CapCut, Adobe or similar creative tools.\n\n Experience creating content for real estate, hospitality, food, travel, retail or consumer brands.\n\n Comfortable appearing on camera or directing on-camera talent.\n\nAttributes We Are Looking
