We dare say that, Vestates was ahead of its time in that regard.\n\nWe are recruiting to fill the position below:\n\nJob Title: Content Creator and Copy Writer \n\nLocation: Wuse 2, Abuja (FCT) \n\nEmployment Type: Full-time\n\nReports To: Corporate Communications & Marketing Manager\n\nJob Summary\n\nThe Content Creator & Copywriter is responsible for developing and creating engaging, brand-aligned content for the assigned subsidiaries. The role covers content ideation, copywriting, short-form video creation, visual storytelling, and content production.\nThe Content Creator is expected to understand the objectives of each assigned business and turn them into relevant, creative and commercially effective content.\n\nReporting & Accountabilities\n\nThe Content Creator reports directly to the Corporate Communications & Marketing Manager and is accountable for:\n\nProviding relevant content updates and insights during weekly reviews and monthly reporting.\nContent quality and brand alignment.\nContent ideas, concepts, captions and copy.\nCreative trends and content opportunities.\nVideo scripts and short-form content.\nMonthly content calendars and content planning.\nCampaign and event content.\nContent production and timely delivery.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nCreate content for campaigns, promotions, launches, events and other business activities.\nDeliver a minimum of 12 planned content pieces per month for each assigned subsidiary.\nPrepare and submit monthly content calendars by due dates.\nMonitor relevant social media trends and recommend suitable content opportunities.\nReview content performance with the Social Media Manager and use insights to improve future content.\nCreate Reels, short-form videos, photos and other social media content.\nWork with the Social Media Manager, Graphic Designer and Photographer/Videographer to deliver approved content.\nPlan and execute content shoots using available equipment.\nWrite captions, social media copy, hooks, scripts and calls-to-action.\nDevelop creative content ideas aligned with each subsidiary's marketing objectives.\n\nKey Performance Indicators\n\nMinimum monthly content requirements achieved.\nQuality and consistency of content produced.\nQuality of copywriting and creative concepts.\nTimely submission and execution of content calendars.\nConsistency with brand guidelines and approved marketing direction.\nContribution to campaign objectives.\nContent engagement and performance.\n\nMust Have\n\nPortfolio demonstrating previous content work.\nGood understanding of social media platforms and trends.\nAbility to create engaging short-form video content/Reels.\nProven experience as a Content Creator, Social Media Content Creator or similar role.\nBasic video editing skills.\nStrong copywriting and storytelling skills.\nStrong communication and organizational skills.\nAbility to write captions, scripts, and compelling hooks.\n\nNice to Have:\n\nPhotography and more advanced video editing skills.\nExperience with Canva, CapCut, Adobe or similar creative tools.\nExperience creating content for real estate, hospitality, food, travel, retail or consumer brands.\nComfortable appearing on camera or directing
