Within this division, the Robotics Team focuses on the design and development of advanced mechatronic and automation solutions for continuous casting applications.\nAbout the Role\nTo support our growth, we are looking for an R&D Automation Engineer. Our R&D Mechatronic team based in Ghlin designs new automatic solutions for continuous casting applications.\nYou will be in charge of conception, design testing and commissioning of robotic & automation solutions\nYour Responsibilities\nDevelop mechatronic and automation solutions to execute sequences integrated into customer processes, ensuring interoperability, functional safety, reliability and cycle-time performance.\nPerform feasibility studies, prototyping and proof-of-concept activities to evaluate new technologies, components and design concepts. Support the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting and optimization of robotic and automated systems in the steelmaking industry.\nDevelop industrial automation solutions based on industrial robots and Siemens PLC control systems. Perform PLC, HMI and robot programming, testing and validation, and integrate sensors, actuators, machine vision and AI-based technologies into complete mechatronic systems.\nCollaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, process and software engineers throughout the complete development lifecycle, from concept and design to validation, commissioning and continuous improvement.\nRequirements\nYour Profile\nEducation & Experience\nMaster’s degree in Automation, Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.\n3 to 5 years of relevant experience.\nProven experience in the design and development of industrial vision systems.\nTechnical Skills\nGood knowledge of Siemens PLC hardware configuration and programming, particularly S7 / TIA Portal.\nKnowledge of HMI development using Siemens TIA Portal / WinCC.\nExperience with industrial robot programming and teaching; experience with KUKA industrial robots is an advantage.\nKnowledge of computer vision and AI-based vision solutions, including image acquisition, optics, lighting, object detection, deep learning/neural networks and 3D imaging.\nFamiliarity with Python, OpenCV and AI frameworks such as PyTorch is an advantage.\nLanguages & Mobility\nFluent in English;
