If you are a detail-oriented accountant who is excited about the intersection of traditional finance and digital assets, this role was made for you.\nYour Role:\n\nAs a Staff Accountant, you will support the Accounting and Finance team with a focus on cryptocurrency-related transactions, digital asset management, and monthly close processes - playing a key role in ensuring the accuracy of financial data across a global fintech platform operating thousands of kiosks and an OTC trading desk. Your day-to-day will involve:\nPreparing and maintaining monthly rollforwards for BTC, ETH, LTC, and other supported digital assets - ensuring accuracy and completeness across all crypto holdings.\nReconciling wallet balances to blockchain data and internal subledgers - performing wallet data cleanup, validation, and exception resolution with precision.\nPerforming fair market value (FMV) calculations and remeasurements for digital asset holdings - and supporting position checks and proof-of-reserves style reconciliations.\nProcessing and accounting for crypto donations, rewards, and incentives - and recording and reconciling hardware wallet activity including Trezor and cold storage.\nPreparing and posting journal entries for month-end close - including balance sheet account reconciliations, flux analysis, and variance explanations.\nMaintaining fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules - and assisting in preparing financial reporting schedules and audit support packages.\nDeveloping spreadsheet reports, verifying financial information, and reconciling accounts - contributing to a culture of accuracy, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.\nAnalyzing current accounting policies and procedures - recommending improvements, contributing to SOP development, and supporting cross-functional teams on accounting processes.\nWhat You'll Need: \n\nBachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.\nAt least 2 years of related accounting experience - with hands-on exposure to journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.\nWorking knowledge of cryptocurrency and blockchain fundamentals is required - this role is specifically focused on digital asset accounting and crypto transaction processing.\nSolid understanding of GAAP and general financial accounting principles.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite - particularly Excel for reconciliations, reporting, and data analysis.\nExperience with NetSuite or a similar ERP system is strongly preferred.\nExcellent organizational skills and sharp attention to detail - you meet deadlines, maintain accuracy under pressure, and never let things slip through the cracks.\nStrong written and verbal English communication skills - able to collaborate clearly with cross-functional teams and respond to information requests accurately and promptly.\nBonus: passion for fintech and the evolving cryptocurrency landscape.\nBonus: experience with Alteryx, Tableau, or similar data and BI tools.\nBonus: exposure to multi-entity or international accounting environments.\nTo be considered for this role, you must be currently based in Latin America (LATAM) or Europe.\nWhat We Offer:\n\n Competitive salary in USD - paid consistently every month, no matter where you are!\n 10 paid vacation days per year plus all U.S. federal holidays.\n 100% remote - work from anywhere in LATAM or Europe with a professional home setup.\n A fast-paced, high-growth environment at the forefront of global fintech and cryptocurrency - where your accounting work directly supports operations across thousands of locations and multiple international markets.\n A collaborative, supportive culture through Veta Virtual and our client - where precision, curiosity, and continuous improvement are genuinely valued from day one.\nReady to Apply?\n\nIf you are ready to bring your accounting skills into the world of digital assets, support a world-class fintech team, and grow at the cutting edge of cryptocurrency finance - apply now and launch your next chapter with Veta Virtual.\n\n Once you apply, you will be invited to complete a short 2-minute video question as part of our screening process.
