This role partners closely with development teams to create accurate technical documentation and support the deployment, management, and extension of knowledge management programs. The position uses Microsoft productivity and collaboration tools to document technical requirements, software processes, and deployment guidance.\nThis is a full-time position working collaboratively with technical staff, end-users, and project stakeholders to support documentation, knowledge sharing, and process adoption.\nThe candidate must reside within the continental US.\nResponsibilities\nCreate, edit, and coordinate complex IT-related documentation, including presentations, manuals, reports, policies, procedures, and specifications.\nDevelop and distribute communications concerning product releases, core functions, and process or policy changes.\nEdit documentation for style, clarity, consistency, and compliance with customer guidelines, provide feedback on drafts, and participate in documentation review sessions.\nResearch complex technical concepts to create and update technical documents, workflows, and user manuals.\nConduct interviews with technical staff and collaborate with end-users to gather accurate information for comprehensive documentation.\nDocument and communicate organizational processes, develop training materials, and conduct process and code deployment training to support adoption across people, processes, and technology.\nTake on additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support team objectives and ensure the success of the project.\nRequirements\nBachelor's degree in English, journalism, computer science, or a related discipline and at least five years of relevant technical writing experience.\nProficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, SharePoint, and PowerPoint, with a strong understanding of good documentation practices.\nExperience across all phases of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including creating User Requirements Documents and translating requirements into Functional Requirements Documents and Design Documents, when applicable.\nPrevious software development experience, experience with change management and functional, regression, and performance testing, and demonstrated ability to develop and maintain documentation supporting coding, final code distribution, training, and code deployment.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, accurate documentation.\nAbility to collaborate with technical staff and end-users to understand functional requirements, develop processes and procedures, and deliver documentation and deployment training.\nAdditional Qualifications\nExperience supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) or other federal agencies.\nExperience with SAFe/Agile software development and working effectively in a multi-stakeholder DevSecOps environment.\nTechnical writing experience within the healthcare industry.\nSecurity Clearance Requirements\nU.S. Citizenship is required.\nAll selected candidates must successfully complete a background check.\nAbility to obtain and maintain a Government/Public Trust clearance, including required fingerprinting, when required for the position.\nBenefits\nMedical/Dental/Vision.\n401k with Employer Match.\nPTO + Federal Holidays.\nCorporate Laptop.\nTraining Opportunities.\nRemote Opportunity.\nVetsEZ is an equal opportunity employer.
