The key to our success is our team of over 160 employees at six locations.\nTo strengthen our team in Pune, India, we are looking for a Senior Purchaser\nResponsibilities\nLead and independently manage the complete Purchase function for VetterTec India.\nManage end-to-end procurement for custom-built machinery, fabrication, machining, bought-out components and project requirements.\nEvaluate technical and commercial quotations, negotiate prices, payment terms and delivery conditions, and place purchase orders.\nReview drawings, BOMs and specifications and coordinate with Engineering, Production, Quality and Project teams for procurement requirements.\nDevelop, qualify and manage suppliers for fabrication, machining, welding, casting, sheet metal and other specialised components.\nMonitor supplier quality, delivery and project schedules, including regular supplier follow-up and visits.\nManage supplier development, alternate sourcing, cost reduction and procurement risk management.\nHandle imports, exports, logistics, customs and related commercial documentation in coordination with internal and external partners.\nWork closely with VetterTec Germany and other international teams on procurement, projects, suppliers and technical requirements.\nEnsure proper ERP/Tally records, invoice verification, purchase documentation and overall compliance of the Purchase function.\nYour Profile\n12-20 years of experience in technical procurement, preferably in heavy engineering, special-purpose machinery or custom machine building.\nEngineering degree/diploma with strong knowledge of mechanical components, fabrication, machining, welding and engineering drawings.\nStrong experience in project procurement and low-volume, customised machinery/equipment.\nProven experience in supplier development, qualification, negotiation and performance management.\nStrong commercial skills in quotation evaluation, cost analysis, price negotiation and contract/payment terms.\nGood experience in Import & Export, customs, logistics, taxation and international commercial documentation.\nExperience working with international teams, preferably European/German companies, is highly desirable.\nGood knowledge of ERP systems and Tally ERP and strong understanding of purchase documentation and processes.\n Independent, proactive and assertive, with the ability to take full ownership of the Purchase function and get things done through suppliers.\nExcellent English communication and negotiation skills, with willingness to travel to suppliers and work closely with VetterTec's international
