It’s aerial imagery and data are used by a variety of industries worldwide, including local and federal governments, geospatial, insurance, natural resources, and telecommunications.\nThis is a new and exciting position as an IT Production Systems Engineer for the maintenance, operation and expansion of our data processing and data movement data centers. These are complex data centers with a high volume of data storage (20 PB of storage) and data processing.\nThe ideal candidate for the IT Production Systems Engineer position should have extensive knowledge of systems maintenance, an entrepreneurial attitude, with the ability to quickly learn new and unfamiliar technologies.\nAs part of this growing team, this position of IT Production Systems Engineer will be responsible for regular on-call shifts for 24x7 systems support and will be required to troubleshoot and resolve problems in a timely manner.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities: \nSupport for incidents and day-to-day problems\nParticipate in the exciting implementation of Infrastructure as Code (IaC); Ansible experience required\nKnowledge of switches and firewalls; HP, Cisco, FortiNet, Aruba\nProvide support for the resolution of critical production problems and proactive customer service.\nExperience in monitoring systems (TICK / ELK / Zabbix / Nagios)\nDevelopment of dashboards with Grafana / Kibana\nVery experienced with Linux and Windows scripting skills (PowerShell, Shell, Python, etc.).\nPerform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and backup copies.\nExperience in Active Directory management, OU / Security Groups and GPO management\nContribute and maintain the security posture of the system in accordance with VEXCEL security policies.\nEducation and Experience:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of technical education or training or 3+ years of IT experience.\nValuable professional certifications, as appropriate.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities: \nGood interpersonal and communications skills\nExpertise in configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, others)\nExpertise in network monitoring and management (VLAN, BGP, OSPF, LACP)\nFamiliar with physical infrastructure (server collocation, cable tracing)\nExperience in physical server monitoring (HPE, IBM, Cisco, Dell, Supermicro)\nKnowledgeofITIL principles \nExperience in working with ITSM tools like Remedy, Jira, ServiceNow\nPreferred location as close as possible to Quincy, WA\nVexcel offers a competitive compensation and benefits package with a 401(k), with a generous employer contribution and match.\nVexcel is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
