Some of the key responsibilities for this role are as follows:\nOperate all material handling equipment (MHE) safely and efficiently while meeting productivity and quality expectations/ standards\nMHE includes the Order Picker, Reach, Single and Double-walkies and lift truck\nComplete the pre-shift equipment inspection process and immediately report any issues or concerns to Supervisor or Team Lead\nEnsure all loads are properly secured to the pallet or within the gaylord before transporting goods throughout the DC\nPlace cartons onto mesh decks in the racking as per the standard operating procedures (SOPs)\nRetrieve cartons from the racking and place onto a pallet as per the SOPs\nPlace pallets into the various drop zones and P&D locations and complete all systemic transactions\nRetrieve empty pallets and full cardboard gaylords and transport as per the SOPs\nPerform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing and other miscellaneous tasks as needed\nCommunicate with Supervisor or Team Lead, as well as other Drivers, on the radio\nOther duties as assigned\n Other Job Requirements:\nMust consistently adhere to all company policies and procedures as outlined in the VF Policy handbook\nBe willing and able to work in other departments as needed (Inbound, Processing, Shipping)\nPerform housekeeping duties as required while contributing to maintaining a safe and clean work environment\nConsistently follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions\nMeet and/or exceed all productivity standards/targets for each activity performed while meeting all quality standards\nMust work well with minimal supervision in a team-based environment\nQualifications and Skills Required:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent preferred\nGood verbal communication skills in English required\nAbility to read pertinent information in English that is found on computer or RF device screens, vendor cartons, pick tickets or shipping labels\nDemonstrated successful track record of working safely\nDemonstrated record of excellent attendance and punctuality\nFlexibility and team focus when asked to perform other duties as required\nAbility to walk/stand all day and bend, lift and push\nAbility to work at height within our multi-level pick tower structure\nAbility to lift and move up to 50 lbs. periodically throughout his/her shift\nPrior distribution/warehouse experience preferred\nThe Job offer is conditional upon successfully completing the theory and competency assessment and completing a background check.\nHiring Range:\n$20.80 CAD - $26.00 CAD per hourBenefits at VF Corporation: You can review a general overview of each benefit program offered, including this year's medical plan rates on www.MyVFbenefits.com and by clicking Looking to Join VF?
