Working closely with site managers, HSE teams, and subcontractors, the role ensures that waste streams are properly segregated, documented, and handled throughout the project lifecycle.\n Key Responsibilities:\nImplement waste management plans and procedures at the construction site level.\nCoordinate waste segregation, temporary storage, internal logistics, and disposal activities.\nSupport the tracking and documentation of all waste types (hazardous and non-hazardous), including preparation of relevant manifests and reports.\nAssist in the preparation of environmental documentation and reporting to local authorities or project stakeholders.\nMonitor subcontractor compliance with waste handling protocols and contractual obligations.\nIdentify opportunities for recycling, reuse, or improved disposal routes aligned with circular economy principles.\nParticipate in site inspections and audits related to waste management practices.\nTrain site personnel and ensure awareness of proper waste handling practices and environmental standards.\nLiaise with the Head of Waste Management and contribute to project-wide waste performance analysis\nEnsure compliance with Greek and EU environmental regulations and internal company policies. Requirements Professional Experience\nMinimum of 2-5 years of experience in waste management, environmental engineering, or industrial site operations.\nPrevious experience of construction or infrastructure projects will be considered an advantage.\nExposure to handling hazardous waste and familiarity with relevant transportation and disposal procedures is a plus.\n Academic Background & Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a relevant scientific/technical discipline.\nKnowledge of Greek waste legislation (e.g., Ν. 4819/2021, ΠΔ 148/2009) is important.\nCertifications in environmental management systems (e.g., ISO 14001) will be considered a plus.\n Languages & Technical Capabilities\nFluent in Greek and English (written and spoken).\nProficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and able to work with environmental reporting tools.\nFamiliarity with digital waste tracking systems or GIS platforms is desirable.\nSkills\nStrong organizational and time management skills.\nDetail-oriented and committed to accurate documentation.\nEffective communicator with a collaborative attitude.\nProblem-solving
