In this role, you’ll be a well rounded-leader with broad project portfolio experience which ideally includes institutional, healthcare, higher education, real estate, manufacturing, and industrial projects. You'll enjoy working closely with architects and private developers. You’ll step into an established structure as a peer alongside other senior project managers, while also guiding a team of four direct reports and helping fill key gaps created by recent growth and transitions. Success in this role means not only bringing in exciting new work, but also mentoring your team, balancing workloads, and becoming an integral part of the Providence office’s continued momentum. VHB delivers comprehensive solutions from site assessment and feasibility studies to permitting, design, and construction administration.\nResponsibilities\nManage work and development of Land Engineering projects in a collaborative environment\nDevelop and support new project opportunities and manage proposal submissions\nResponsible for project financial performance and client relations\nDevelop site/civil engineering plans and specifications for a multitude of projects in the region.\nSupport preparation of land development design and permitting documents\nCivil engineering for retail, residential, institutional, renewable energy and industrial site design including grading and drainage design, utility design, and site design/layout\nPreparation of schematic design, design development, and construction contract documentation\nAssist in the preparation of permitting, design and construction documents\nAttend meetings with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to establish their needs and discuss design/permitting issues \nSupervise design team activities during Construction Administration\nSkills and Abilities\nProficient in site layout, grading, utility design and stormwater management \nKnowledge of local and State regulations governing site design preferred\nAbility to think critically and creatively in a team-focused environment\nExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills \nAutoCAD, HydroCAD, and StormCAD proficiency preferred\nQualifications\nBS in Civil Engineering or related degree/MS preferred\n8-11 years of professional site/civil engineering experience required;\nPE licensure required\nThe full-time annual base salary range for this position, located in Rhode Island, is $120,000 to $160,000. The base salary offered will be determined based on job-related factors, including geographic location, internal equity, experience, credentials, skills, education, work schedule, and other factors permitted by law. The posted salary range reflects base pay only. Additional compensation and benefits available to eligible employees are outlined in our Total Rewards Program.\nAnnual base salary is one component of VHB’s Total Rewards package. In addition to base pay, eligible employees may receive annual incentive compensation bonuses, spot bonuses, and merit-based salary increases, providing opportunities to increase earnings beyond base pay.
