In this hybrid role, you’ll play an essential part in supporting the financial and contractual success of our engineering projects-partnering with project teams, strengthening client relationships, and helping deliver work that matters.\nPrimary Duties & Responsibilities\nManages and coordinates contract administration activities.\nReviews and assesses contract risks and ensures that contracts are consistent with established guidelines, policies, practices, and procedures.\nEnsures that all clarifications and amendments of negotiations are incorporated into final contracts.\nEnsures that necessary procedural controls exist and are followed.\nAssists with project setup using contract management software. Generates, maintains, and audits contract data.\nPrepares, processes, and monitors invoices and contracts.\nAssists with accounts receivable collection.\nAssists with research and resolution of client questions. Handles complex contract issues and problems.\nLiaison with Risk Management/Finance on all related items to Insurance (Project specific)\nDBE compliance/reporting support (Project specific)\nClient Portal maintenance on active projects in portfolio (required certification, documentation)\nProvides monthly reporting on contract compliance (Internal/External)\nProvide administrative support to Project Managers (clients requests, monthly progress reports) on an as needed basis\nParticipates in professional and personal development aligned with career goals.\nPerforms all job functions in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations and VHB policies and procedures.\nSkills & Knowledge\nSolid knowledge and understanding of contract management.\nStrong skills with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel) and contract management software (e.g., Deltek Vision).\nExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.\nStrong organizational and prioritization skills.\nTeam-oriented with strong capability to work independently.\nSelf-motivated with attention to detail.\nAbility to shift attention from one task to another in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.\nSkills and knowledge must be commensurate with required experience and job level.\nMinimum Qualifications\n5+ years of contract management experience\nAssociate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Management\nBachelor’s degree preferred\nExperience with the federal contracting process and FAR preferred\nThe full-time annual base salary range for this position, located in Hauppauge, NY, is $92,000 to $125,000. The base salary offered will be determined based on job-related factors, including geographic location, internal equity, experience, credentials, skills, education, work schedule, and other factors permitted by law. The posted salary range reflects base pay only. Additional compensation and benefits available to eligible employees are outlined in our Total Rewards Program.\nAnnual base salary is one component of VHB’s Total Rewards package. In addition to base pay, eligible employees may receive annual incentive compensation bonuses, spot bonuses, and merit-based salary increases, providing opportunities to increase earnings beyond base pay.
