If you’re interested in making a positive impact, opportunities to grow personally and professionally, and making smart new friends - we’d love to have you join us.\nResponsibilities\nCollect Field Data and Manage/Interpret Data (soil, sediment, groundwater, surface water, indoor air, soil gas)\nConduct Site Investigations including ASTM Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments while Leveraging Technology to Support Data Management and Visualization\nConduct and Document Research at State and Municipal Agencies\nConduct Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) Inspections and prepare SPCC Plans\nProvide Field Support including Construction Observations and Documentation of Remediation Projects\nWrite Technical Reports, Correspondence, Notes and Memoranda\nSkills & Abilities\nAbility to work in office and field settings (this position requires traveling within Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and nearby states to collect data)\nExcellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills\nMotivated with abilities to problem solve and work independently\nDocuments work in a detailed manner and keeps data and other information organized\nWorking knowledge of MassDEP Massachusetts Contingency Plan regulations and guidance, and NHDES Regulations, prior experience with SPCC and SWPPP inspections a plus\nProficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, experience with ESRI ArcGIS Pro and EQuIS or other laboratory data management software a plus\nMinimum Qualifications\nBS in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science/Geoscience, or Environmental Engineering\n0-1 year of professional environmental/remediation consulting experience required\nOSHA 40 hr. HAZWOPER certification and annual refresher certifications required after 30 days of employment\nThe full-time annual base salary range for this position, located in Massachusetts, is $64,000 to $73,000. The base salary offered will be determined based on job-related factors, including geographic location, internal equity, experience, credentials, skills, education, work schedule, and other factors permitted by law. The posted salary range reflects base pay only. Additional compensation and benefits available to eligible employees are outlined in our Total Rewards Program.\nAnnual base salary is one component of VHB’s Total Rewards package. In addition to base pay, eligible employees may receive annual incentive compensation bonuses, spot bonuses, and merit-based salary increases, providing opportunities to increase earnings beyond base pay.
