This individual will provide support to the Geomatics team in the collection of field data and information related to the preparation of survey maps and CAD files. In this role, you will have the opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of progressive technologies as you work directly with an experienced and dynamic team of geomatics professionals and interact with technical specialists in other disciplines.\nResponsibilities\nSupport the field crew in collecting hydrographic and topographic data;\nGain exposure to conventional survey methods;\nSupport the crew in performing crane rail surveys;\nPerform construction layout;\nAssist with office tasks including, but not limited to CAD drafting, data download, deed and map research, and filing;\nMaintain survey equipment and initiate repairs when necessary;\nRemain current on surveying practices, guidelines, and best practices; attend internal training to expand knowledge and skills; and\nPerform other duties as requested.\nSkills and Attributes\nExcellent communication skills, written and verbal\nStrong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgment capabilities;\nAbility to effectively work independently and in a team environment;\nQualifications\nMust have a high school diploma\nCurrently enrolled in an undergraduate program is preferred (Geomatics, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field)\nThe hourly pay range for this position, located in Virginia, is $19 to $30. The actual hourly rate offered will be determined based on job-related factors, including geographic location, internal equity, experience, credentials, skills, education, work schedule, and other factors permitted by law. The posted hourly range reflects base pay only.
