VHB’s Geomatics team have a need for a Geomatics Project Manager to join our New England region.\nThe successful candidate must be knowledgeable in Land Surveying for a variety of applications, including boundary determinations, topographic surveys, utility surveys, highway surveys and subdivisions. The position requires up-to-date knowledge of current technologies, and a proven ability to manage land surveying projects.\nResponsibilities\nManages projects, project staff, and clients\nProject management, including management of budget, scope and schedule for small, moderate and large land survey projects\nManagement of project staff and clients\nPerformance and/or oversight of surveying calculations\nAnalysis and interpretation of public records research, including deeds, plans and other pertinent documents for the project\nReviews and certifies work that staff has completed with a high-level of precision and accuracy \nKeeps accurate notes, records, and sketches to describe and certify work performed \nCoordination of field crews and Survey/CAD Technicians\nPerform field checks, manage quality control of all products\nCoordinate survey efforts with other groups in an integrated services environment\nAbility to perform “field to finish” land surveying\nSkills and Attributes\nMust be knowledgeable in all aspects of Land Surveying, including legal requirements, boundary determinations and ALTA requirements\nProficient in reading and understanding engineering, architectural, and structural drawings\nKnowledge of local subdivision and zoning requirements\nThorough understanding of the use of up-to-date survey technologies and interface with AutoCAD Civil 3D\nAbility to direct and monitor construction layout services\nExcellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills\nExcellent teamwork and collaboration skills\nMotivated to lead and mentor others \nQualifications\n5+ years of professional land surveying/geomatics experience, including managing large-scale, complex land surveying projects\nHigh school diploma or GED required\nDegree in Survey Engineering, Geomatics, Geographic Information Systems, Engineering, or related field preferred\nProfessional Land Surveyor license preferred\nClient management and business development experience\nProficiency in all aspects of field and office land surveying including boundary line and topographic survey as well as construction stakeout\nThe full-time annual base salary range for this position is $91,000 to $120,000 if located in Massachusetts, and $86,112 to $102,000 if located in New Hampshire. The base salary offered will be determined based on job-related factors, including geographic location, internal equity, experience, credentials, skills, education, work schedule, and other factors permitted by law. The posted salary range reflects base pay only. Additional compensation and benefits available to eligible employees are outlined in our Total Rewards Program.\nAnnual base salary is one component of VHB’s Total Rewards package. In addition to base pay, eligible employees may receive annual incentive compensation bonuses, spot bonuses, and merit-based salary increases, providing opportunities to increase earnings beyond base pay.
