Join us and make a meaningful impact in the field of Geomatics!\nLearn more about Geomatics at VHB: Geomatics | VHB\nResponsibilities\nProject management of scope, schedule and budget for small, medium and large, long linear land survey projects\nManagement of project staff and clients\nPerformance and/or oversight of surveying calculations\nAnalysis and interpretation of public records research, including deeds, plans and other pertinent documents for the project\nReviews and certifies work that staff has completed with a high-level of precision and accuracy \nKeeps accurate notes, records, and sketches to describe and certify work performed \nCoordination of field crews and Survey/CAD Technicians\nPerform field checks, manage quality control of all products\nCoordinate survey efforts with other groups in an integrated services environment\nSkills and Attributes\nMust be knowledgeable in all aspects of Land Surveying, including legal requirements, boundary determinations and ALTA requirements\nProficient in reading and understanding engineering, architectural, and structural drawings\nKnowledge of applicable state and local surveying board requirements\nThorough understanding of the use of up-to-date survey technologies and interface with AutoCAD Civil 3D\nExperience with Open Roads Design is preferred\nAbility to direct and monitor construction layout services\nExcellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills\nExcellent teamwork and collaboration skills\nMotivated to lead and mentor others \nQualifications\n5+ years of geomatics/land surveying experience, including managing large-scale, complex land surveying projects required\nHigh school diploma or GED required\nDegree in Survey Engineering, Geomatics, Engineering, or related field preferred and may substitute for some experience\nExperience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D software required\nProfessional Land Surveyor license preferred\nClient management and business development experience preferred\nProficiency in all aspects of field and office land surveying including boundary line and topographic survey as well as construction stakeout preferred\nExperience with electronic instruments, field data collectors, GPS, robotic instruments, remote sensing technologies such as UAV’s and terrestrial scanning, LiDAR processing software (Leica Cyclone and global mapper) is preferred\nExperience with ESRI software is preferred\nThe full-time annual base salary range for this position, located in Maine, is $90,000 to $130,000. The base salary offered will be determined based on job-related factors, including geographic location, internal equity, experience, credentials, skills, education, work schedule, and other factors permitted by law. The posted salary range reflects base pay only. Additional compensation and benefits available to eligible employees are outlined in our Total Rewards Program.\nAnnual base salary is one component of VHB’s Total Rewards package. In addition to base pay, eligible employees may receive annual incentive compensation bonuses, spot bonuses, and merit-based salary increases, providing opportunities to increase earnings beyond base pay.
