We are looking to engage professionals who want to grow in an environment where we value ethics, client engagement, positive community impact and professional growth as a path to success and building a rewarding career.\nLearn more about VHB's Land Development team here: Land Development | VHB\nResponsibilities\nDirect projects by managing and delegating tasks, forecasting and proactively addressing workload, financial performance, and staffing needs, while collaborating with clients and teammates across the organization\nOversee and engage in the development of existing client relationships, including conducting periodic meetings, developing proposals and budgets, and gathering feedback with teammates\nPrepare agreements and manage the creation and approval of construction plans, bid documents, technical specifications, and construction cost estimates\nAnalyze complex technical challenges and develop new or improved techniques, approaches, and alternative solutions\nPromote career development, training and career path planning for all of your direct team members.\nDevelop engineering plans and specifications in a team environment for a multitude of projects\nSkills and Attributes\nWillingness to learn implementation of integrated services projects in a team with multidisciplinary skills\nKnowledge of land development construction including codes and development regulations\nExhibits strong leadership skills and growth potential\nHas interest in growing business development skills\nQualifications\nBS in Civil Engineering or related degree\n8-11 years of increasing engineering experience on complex projects preferred\nPE licensure in NC or ability to obtain within 6 months\nProficient in site layout, grading, utility design and stormwater management\nExperience in developing and compiling/producing site plans, construction documents, specification, and engineering reports\nUnderstanding of North Carolina market\nExperience with GIS Systems is a plus - GIS is one of the tools we use to create better projects\nProficient in the following: AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Project, MS Office\nThe full-time annual base salary range for this position, located in Raleigh, NC, is $110,000 to $140,000. The base salary offered will be determined based on job-related factors, including geographic location, internal equity, experience, credentials, skills, education, work schedule, and other factors permitted by law. The posted salary range reflects base pay only. Additional compensation and benefits available to eligible employees are outlined in our Total Rewards Program.\nAnnual base salary is one component of VHB’s Total Rewards package. In addition to base pay, eligible employees may receive annual incentive compensation bonuses, spot bonuses, and merit-based salary increases, providing opportunities to increase earnings beyond base pay.
