You won’t be expected to sacrifice your personal well-being to do meaningful, impactful work here.\nIf you’re feeling frustrated in your current role-whether it’s due to lack of internal support, limited growth or career path or you feel you deserve more-VHB offers a chance to reset: to do challenging, high-caliber work in a place where your expertise is respected, your voice matters, and your life outside of work is valued.\nResponsibilities\nProduces and delivers complex highway design projects from inception through the construction administration phase on multiple types of projects including design build, TIPP funded, and Municipal led. \nAssists with the preparation of proposals and/or contracts.\nAssists with scope and fee development and tracks project progress for technical accuracy and adherence to schedule and budget, including invoicing. \nInterdisciplinary technical task management that adheres to project schedule and budget. \nDesign of highways and roads including development of geometric layout, grading and drainage, utilities, and environmental permitting\nReviews complete project documents for interdisciplinary conformity and quality assurance. \nManages the development of technical design and specification documents\nMentors junior team members by providing guidance to technical team members and reviews their work for accuracy. \nParticipates in professional and personal development.\nSkills/Abilities\nAbility to handle multiple concurrent projects\nStrong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills\nExperienced user of Civil 3D, including corridor development\nCapability to lead/mentor junior staff\nAdept at technical task management and oversight\nAptitude for public presentations\nQualifications\nBS in Civil Engineering, MS preferred\n5+ years’ minimum experience in professional transportation engineering\nPE expected\nMust have experience with DOT and/or any regional DOT-funded municipal roadway improvement projects\nMust have valid driver’s license, as the position requires travel to client meetings and project sites\nThe full-time annual base salary range for this position is $110,000 to $140,000. The base salary offered will be determined based on job-related factors, including geographic location, internal equity, experience, credentials, skills, education, work schedule, and other factors permitted by law. The posted salary range reflects base pay only. Additional compensation and benefits available to eligible employees are outlined in our Total Rewards Program.\nAnnual base salary is one component of VHB’s Total Rewards package. In addition to base pay, eligible employees may receive annual incentive compensation bonuses, spot bonuses, and merit-based salary increases, providing opportunities to increase earnings beyond base pay.
