We are looking for someone with a blend of project management skills, technical expertise, managerial skills, and innovative thinking.\n2024 ENR New England Design Firm of the Year\nVHB Wins Seven ACEC Engineering Excellence Awards\n2024 ACEC Inaugural (DEI) Commitment Award\nResponsibilities\nServe as Senior Project Manager for Municipal, CTDOT, and Regional Planning Agency clients\nDevelop and manage client relationships\nManage staff, and provide technical and professional development of staff\nAssist with strategy for expansion of transportation services throughout CT\nMonitor project financial performance\nAttend and lead meetings with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to establish their needs and discuss/navigate transportation design/permitting challenges\nDevelop and execute scope associated with transportation planning, operations and/or design for projects as necessary\nParticipate in professional organizations that promote relationships with clients and teaming partners\nDevelop new project opportunities, and prepare and manage proposal submissions\nSkills and Attributes\nSelf-motivated \nAttention to detail\nAbility to multitask\nAbility to think critically\nExhibits strong leadership skills\nStrong computer skills (MS Office)\nStrong and collaborative work ethic\nExcels working in a team environment\nSubstantial client management, technical and project management experience\nAbility to manage a multidisciplinary team of professionals\nExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills\nAdvanced knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures in traffic engineering\nAdvanced knowledge of local and state regulations governing transportation design\nSoftware exposure: AutoCAD, Civil3D, Bently CONNECT Suite, a plus\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, transportation planning or similar discipline required\nMaster’s degree a plus (may substitute for 1 year of experience)\n15+ years of professional transportation engineering experience, with at least 7 years of experience working in the CT market, required\nCT Professional Engineer (PE) license required\nProven success in the state & local government market sectors\nThe full-time annual base salary range for this position, located in Connecticut, is $150,000 to $220,000. The base salary offered will be determined based on job-related factors, including geographic location, internal equity, experience, credentials, skills, education, work schedule, and other factors permitted by law. The posted salary range reflects base pay only. Additional compensation and benefits available to eligible employees are outlined in our Total Rewards Program.\nAnnual base salary is one component of VHB’s Total Rewards package. In addition to base pay, eligible employees may receive annual incentive compensation bonuses, spot bonuses, and merit-based salary increases, providing opportunities to increase earnings beyond base pay.
